Where did you see this info? I wouldn't mind taking a look myself
Edit: Just saw all the social media stuff, nevermind haha. And diving 100% confirmed, very exiting stuff!
Chante said the only animal who can use the underwater feeder is the Saltie, but I don't think that means it's the only one that can dive. The Gharial probably can, it just can't use that item yet, which as long as it's coming, that's fine with me for the moment.Yup with diving confirmed they've got the animation down (at least for one animal ha). I was thinking maybe coastal animals like seals etc would just end up floating for a bit, but this helps a lot. I don't think the DLC will be a full on fully marine pack, but something with marine related is entirely possible.
Or - if it's not this pack, maybe the next one at least. I won't be disappointed if it's not the next pack because with this update, it's got to be coming relatively soon.

What is pretty clear now is that the next DLC is bound to be aquatic.
We didn't see An through the end of F, so I think a California sea lion is highly likely as the fourth animal, assuming they're only doing four stillIndeed, although if we take the giant otter as gospel, it seems like all possible aquatic will be lumped into one pack, which isn't my favoured path. I'll take what I can and be grateful for it, of course, but I had hoped that in terms of theming, flora, and fauna there is a clear enough separation between freshwater and saltwater biomes to warrant more than one pack (and I know we can't be certain it will never be revisited, but as always we can't be certain it will be, either).
I'd love the king penguin, for example, but I'll be pretty bummed out if that means we'll never get another penguin. I'd love the grey seal, but I'd love a sea lion more. Not fussed on the giant otter - would have preferred the Asian small-clawed as others have said.
When they posted that the update is coming on the 8th of December, my initial thought was that they will announce the DLC tomorrow or sometime this week. All the DLCs so far have come with a huge update, I think it's fair to assume it will be the same this time.
Very exciting news nonetheless!
Agree, best case scenario is we get the DLC preview/clues this week and it releases on Tuesday the 8th.
Second best case is we get those next week and it releases Tuesday the 15th.
I guess worst case is we get no DLC this month but next month for sure. I would imagine it's one of the first two though.
Well, unless they deviate from their release scheduling drastically it's almost certain 1.4 and the DLC will be out on the same day. That's how it's been since the start, after all.
Good point and that's likely the case. Just preparing myself for the possibility that there won't be news this week, even if there likely will be. After this year (in general not PZ) I've learned to temper my expectations of good things happening.
Yep, Australia DLC was announced on Thursday (20th August) and released the following Tuesday (25th). I'd be extremely surprised if they don't announce the next DLC this week. Was it not always Tuesday for update announcement and Thursday for the DLC announcement? But we got it on Monday this time.![]()
Asian Small Clawed Otters are more common in zoos than any other species and would of been the better choice for Planet Zoo.What is so special with Asian small clawed otter that everyone are so hyped about this patticular species? Is it about this tv series about them?
"Better" is a bit subjective imo. They're both displayed and bred in captivity so I don't really know that there is a right or wrong choice between the two. Hell, I would've been fine with a North American or European otter. If anything, it's nice to have another animal for the still-lacking South American region of the worldAsian Small Clawed Otters are more common in zoos than any other species and would of been the better choice for Planet Zoo.
I get it if you don't get the appeal. And maybe prefer the Giant Otter ?What is so special with Asian small clawed otter that everyone are so hyped about this patticular species? Is it about this tv series about them?
When I said better, I meant better than the Giant Otter and not for the rest of the spieces. Sorry, I should of clarified more.
