Much shorter trailer than I was expecting but man it looks pretty. Going purely off that trailer, I suspect I'll spend more time exploring than shooting people but, rest assured, some fools will die by my hand if they get in my way.

I have a question about Alpha edition:

Will the progress from Alpha gets deleted like it does from beta version testing? Or will we play on standard live servers with just more possibilities then other players (like Basic vs Horizons versions)

So now we know that Odyssey is only going to be last-gen content on the consoles, I'm hoping Frontier will be able to announce updated or unlocked graphics settings on the current-gen XBox Series X and PS5 consoles. Currently the backwards compatibility jail they run in has graphics settings that are roughly equivalent to Medium settings on PC, and the resolution on PS5 is just 1/4 of what it should be. (1080p)

We'll want to be seeing those ice planets in all of their apparent glory... they look amazing.

Looked good. I might be past my best for twitch gameplay but Im looking forward to a bit of FPS both player and PvE based. Hopefully sneaking into bases and not going in all guns blazing will be good fun :)

Just had to fork out £240 for a new washing machine, so not sure about the pre-order, although part of my would wait for release if it wasnt for the fact I have to run a blog doing updates for the next 3-4 months!

If I get this right, the suit comes as a gift for all preorders (not just for alpha). BTW: Does the SRV in the background float?

Looks like we've got some levitating NPCs as well (00:45). Not sure about the suit - this NPC doesn't look that bulky around the arms and legs.

I think I won't preorder. There will be probably some delays, a lot of bugs and maybe it's like 10% or 20% off soon after release. They will offer lot's of µTX for suits etc. so I won't preorder to get an exclusive skin without knowing what exactly I'm paying for.

I don't think that's a laser rifle - otherwise the npc would be constantly shooting the ground. Looks more like an aiming laser. Is the rifle a different one than the ones above?

FDev used to do 2-4 times ALPHA and BETA testing with 3-4 weeks each! So most likely the first beta will come in early february. The 21 april is the full release date - if it stays. This is all hypotetical ofc. ;)
