Would you be more interested in CGs if...

well my anaconda (i call it beastconda) would be very happy if

rewards were lucrative chained missions?

rewards were temporary (week or month long) buffs to trade / exploration / combat bond / bounty payouts?

Yes, but I'd want Frontier to continue to ease into such a thing slowly and see what happens.

Also, I'd like to feel like the CGs affected lore a little more than they do!

the problem i see with cg is that 10 out of 10 of your proposals begin with "rewards" and 0 out of 10 begin with "challenge", "fun", "story" or "mystery", and folks are so used to it that no one even raises an eye-brow.

enjoy your rewards then, i guesszzzzzzzzzz ....

I'd be more interested if they didn't cheeze the rewards by moving the goalposts when people whine on the forum. Honestly, I haven't done one since that cheezy move of giving the double engineered fsd booster to the top 75% instead of the originally advertised top 25%.

Fooled me one, not gonna be a second time.

Rewards I would suggest, a box of fresh off the belt of Krispy Kremes

Best Kremes in the galaxy🤪

I dont even remember where I put the Modules from the CGs, they need to have a special name or something.
They just get lost in the massive unorganised mess of modules.

Thanks for reminding me i still need to fit that DSS

OR a utility slot module that acts like a nitrous boost, pushing thrusters to 1kps for 5 seconds while degrading the hull 20% for every second of use (can't be shut off once engaged).
Would give new meaning to suicide squad, can imagine that being used to get into a station to land before dying on the fifth second ;)

I would.

However if I was out exploring, or taking care of IRL business, and missed any of the rewards...

I would whine until Fdev caved and gave them to me, or removed them from future CGs.

The rewards don't mean a whole lot to me.

I'd be more interested if CGs were generated automatically from background events and CMDR activities, not on rails with a predestined victor (no point in generating a CG for something with a forgone conclusion), and that there was a way for them to be effectively opposed. They shouldn't be limited to two sides and should have failure criteria were it's possible for everyone to lose.

I don't think I would like CGs to be generated automatically from BGS events and CMDR activities. I would prefer CGs to be a major event for the community. Something really big and important is happening right now and CMDRs can participate in this event. This doesn't rule out CMDR activities as a "trigger" though. I absolutely loved the entire Golconda plot and how the CG/II was presented. The awesome Golconda Decal was the cherry on the top that made the entire thing perfect for me.

My personal preference would be rarer CGs, but with more unique rewards and a "stronger" narrative/plot around them.

HELL YES!

How about having both ? Autogenerated ones with standard rewards, rarer bigger manual ones with exceptional rewards.
