Are there many other women on here/playing Elite: Dangerous?

CMDR chicks are cool. In fact they are among the coolest of chicks. Nothing like real chicks in a real mans galaxy, flying spaceships. My wife and daughter are both CMDRs. They just don't hang out here. Because they don't speak English. So you guys should feel relieved. Trust me.

I don't want to make any assumptions about this place being a bit of a boy's club, so I thought I'd ask instead of assuming. My reason for asking is that I see a lot of people talking about their wife or various other... things, and not much talk the other way around.
Given the... manners of a significant portion of the forum populace and Frontier's apathy, if I were of the female gender, it isn't something I'd be advertising.

That said, there are a number of people that are public about it.

My avatar in game is male. When I first began Elite, I was deeply interested in anonymity.

However, after having spent thousands and thousands of hours happily learning fa off, fixed weaponry and engineering to the hilt, I am now much more confident in my combat skills.

Although I almost always lose, I have fought some of the greatest pvp pilots in this game in order to improve and better predict how a fight may transpire.

Tl;dr
The fact that I am female is of no importance to me. What is important to me is that I now have the skill and equipment to beat the crap out of many Commanders in this game under fair circumstances.

:)

P.S. I am lawful, peaceful and love bunny rabbits.

I happen to fall in the cohort of this topic. I've found generally guys are ok and less of the misogynistic crowd in ED. I hope Odyssey stays that way.

As someone who also falls in the cohort of this topic, I'll second this post. More to the point, my gender appears to be so unremarkable to most that I get lumped in with all the 'other guys'. It is nice, however, when someone remembers.

None of you are a "ladiesman".

96% of these responses are from men or males and not one of you took time to say "hi" or engage the four to five women or females who dared reply to the thread with a "yes, or a few".

Given the content of most of these posts, I'm willing to bet the reasons the ladies were hesitant to post here, given the thread title, were mostly turned off by what was posted.

Shame on you.

Ladies, welcome to the Frontier Forum and I "for one" hope you find it an informational and educational experience.

Welcome.

My daughter roleplays an Imperial Slave.. Does that count? :ROFLMAO:

She's hoping to break free and get her pilots license... but... mean daddy wont let her!
