CG predictions...

Some more big jumps - and I know some fleets of FC are starting off from Trifid today, so expect more action later. Now I'm wondering whether to do just one more run...

.... anyone leaving Colonia anythyme soon?
just looking at it now - but I'm just taking the jumpconda back, so no use to you. Then I think I'll get a lift back tomorrow

Departure from Shrogaae KK-A d983 11:00 Jan 13 -> Arrival Colonia 22:00 Jan 13.

(but I said that last time and ended up jumping back, because I'm impatient :) )

Edit: 58 jumps w/o limpets - piece of cake :D

Looks to me like definite 'ship phase' vs 'FC phase' to this CG (I was wondering if it was going to go exponential as later FC also had larger loads, but I don't see that)
I suppose there's a practical limit to how much any individual FC can bring in hold cargo - maybe 18k if you're not worried about how much fuel you have left on arrival in Colonia. That much cargo would take about 3 full days to acquire even in a 9-collector ship, but it's achievable enough for a big team.

So the ones coming in by Monday evening probably already had that sort of load aboard - though split between multiple pilots, and some in ship cargo. Further acceleration then requires an acceleration in the number of returning carriers, which won't be exponential.

Looks like it should reach 250k by the end, still.

Meanwhile participant count looks like it'll be the highest ever for a one-week Colonia CG.

Jupiter Division ....

Core Dynamics Insider Discusses Lakon Takeover
13 JAN 3307
An anonymous source within the shipbuilding corporation Core Dynamics has revealed details behind its hostile takeover of Lakon Spaceways.

The nameless insider had previously stated that the acquisition of Lakon was the personal project of Core Dynamics CEO Jupiter Rochester. These additional claims were broadcast via Vox Galactica:

“In the last few years, Rochester has purchased many companies based outside the Federation, such as Vodel. Lakon Spaceways is just the latest. It seems legal, but he manages these subsidiaries directly and installs his own people there. Some say he’s diversifying his family’s private holdings, rather than expanding the business.”

“It’s well known that several departments only follow Rochester’s directives, and operate in silos unconnected with the rest of Core Dynamics. Staff refer to them as ‘Jupiter Division’. Some offices even started using that name, like they’re a separate company within a company.”

“I’ve heard that some directors are unhappy with Rochester, but he’s too well-connected to ever get rid of. It’s thanks to him that we have so many military contracts. As always, the rich get away with anything.”

Core Dynamics declined to comment on this statement. Naomi Landseer, former chairperson of the Lakon Spaceways board of directors, has asked the Independent Commission for Market Equality to investigate further.

Is that Rochester who dated with Aisling?

Is that Rochester who dated with Aisling?
No, the Rochester who dated Aisling is his brother Jordan, the Federal Ambassador. (There are a lot of them, so it's tough to keep track, and their tradition of naming successive generations with incrementing first letters doesn't help)

Jupiter Rochester is married to the actor Tomas Turai, who was alleged to be having an affair with an athlete by the now-disgraced press baron Kingsley Cordova, whose spy robots were uncovered by an investigation led by Ramesh Thorne.

Their mother Isolde Rochester is now Shadow Vice-President (Liberal) following the previous SVP retiring to spend more time with his money.

Jupiter's daughter Kali is a student at Olympus Village Uni, and Jupiter and Tomas also have another child.
