Any news on pre-order for Xbox Odyssey?

Would be great to have some of that information.
Really hoping we get beta access to odyssey on xbox, no hope of alpha as that would more than likely be for the master race only.
I think we are going the way of the mac... sadly I think we're getting dropped at this rate. I hope not and I do hope we'll get 3D headset support one day, but I'm worried about console support.
i just bought the game last week and i will pay for this expansion how much do u think it will be?

I would expect to be offered a complete and total transfer of my entire account. Cosmetics, ranks, assets, (fleet inc. engineering). Absolutely everything. I've invested a fair sum over the few years on Xbox ED, including my time.
I hope that ED on Xbox (or those fine PS4 chaps & chapesses) doesn't end. But console support, development and deployment does seem to be a side interest these days, which I don't much care for. COVID-19 limitations notwithstanding.
I know how you feel. I've been on Elite on Xbox for years, did Distant Worlds on it, grinded Engineers, bought and engineered many ships, bought cosmetics, and got the Distant Worlds decal. I wish I could transfer all of it because I dont use my Xbox for much else, now I cant even use it for Odyssey when all the videos start showing up in my recommendations with spoilery thumbnails and titles.Lets just make this clear from the off, whomsoever it my concern. There's no way I'm letting all I've done go and starting over. I read that credits can be transferred but credits wont buy back my DW decal, my stats, my permits, my rep and ranks, my engineered parts or my cosmetics.
I don't think console support will ever go away. Maybe it will switch to next gen only in a year or two but not go away. But it would be nice to know when they make something, they are not just making it for master race and then giving us the scrap later when they're done with it.
I hope to goodness they don’t dump us but it feels like we are an afterthought. If by some miracle we get to preorder I hope we get given the special suit that pc orders get too.. but it absolutely MAJORLY sucks that we will have to watch for over 6 months as all the YouTubers and streamers and forums posters spoil everything for us and we lose the hype day after day. I really think they should make the 6 months or so an extended Beta on pc so that we can all enjoy it together properly on release day.

ED is still marketed for XB One and PS4
Even if everyone moves on XB Series, that does not mean they have to patch the game to run natively on XB Series. It can still run very nice in compatibility mode.
Also it may take quite some effort to make it run fully native on XB Series since their Cobra Engine is still DX11 limited - so a lot of dx12 fluff will not be available for them to play with
The only reason I want console preorder for Odyssey is to get the exclusive pioneer suit promised. It’s like a cobra mk4 situation. Again making something just available for the pc crowd and not allowing it for the console second class citizens is dumb and causes further anger on top of a situation where a significant amount of goodwill has been lost.
All that’s needed is a simple clarification that we will be able to do so and more frustration goes away and is managed but frontier seems slow to realise that.

It's a fair point to be honest. As a PS4 player who never had the opportunity to get the Cobra Mk IV to which FDev have said we never will it makes things like this come into sharp focus.
The pioneer suit skin on pre-order appears just to be that a skin i.e. cosmetic rather than a Cobra Mk IV thing though. Hopefully this is the case. So we can all get the pioneer suit, just not that skin which is of less concern to me personally.
I understood that suits are not cosmetic at all... pioneer included. That it may be designed to be an overall crap suit or a specifically crap suit it does not matter tbh.
Pretty much like it does not matter that everyone is saying the C4 is crap - i still want one.
IIRC in one of the dev diaries they presented the suits... and pioneer was mentioned like the rest of the suits.
