T-9 ship kit interest ?

Yes, I think we can't have the cow job. :(
maybe.... just maybe the ship kit looks like this?

i mean its only speculation of course but if i were in charge of ship kits....

I'd love to see a well worn, but cared for kit/paint job. For those of us who want a working ship but who are less worried about what it looks like.

A large collection of bolt-on after-market "fixes" and "upgrades" would be a lot of fun to customize our cargo liners.

T-9 is a proper cargo hauler.
Agreed, and that’s how I use it. One can load up multiple missions to a single star system for max benefit.
I remember when I first purchased a T-9 it seemed so very very slow, and ultimately I couldn’t move past that fact. But these days and now I’m flying in VR it’s become one of my favourite ships. The cockpit is so huge with walkways and corridors leading of left and right it’s almost scooby-doo spooky.

Flimley

Isnt the T10 the T9 ship kit?
(sorry just doing what people do to me when i talk about the Viper mk4 Getting a Ship kit).

Man i want a Viper Mk4 Ship kit.... If Frontier want me to break and buy some ARX, thats how they do it.

I love the T9, but no.

Ship kits are very contradictory. They add things yet add nothing at all. Mostly pointless fins and wings that look like they where designed by an aesthetically challenged 12 year old.

There are a few rare exceptions, like a few bits for the Python that go a little way to restoring the classic wire frame shape.

The Raider kits however are a different kettle of fish. These are excellent, but work as they add a theme to a ship that has a plausible reason. Unlike a spoiler which has zero logic and looks ridiculous.

So maybe a Raider kit for it. All the other pointless crap that never made it to the original design as it was rubbish then and is still rubbish now, you can keep.

With regards to Piebald T9 skins, it is very unlikely to happen. The reason being there is one in game. Exactly one. It was one of the prizes at last years charity auction. So to introduce it for everyone would undermine that persons prize and the donation they bid for it.

EDIT: realised I was ninja'd some while back by Kennith... so maybe ninja'd is the wrong term...

Well it could always be some other breed of cow for the paintjob.

How about a kit that added long spikes forward from the wing tips and a couple of triangular sections forward from the top of the ship with a gap between them over the greenhouse cockpit make the ship look more like a Krait.

I still my want my T-9 ship kit. Now Lakon have been bought out, perhaps the new owners may want to jazz it up a bit And make it look a little more core dynamicy.

Oh the fun if these ship kitst (especially the raiders ones) actually became part of the hit box. Can you image the fun watching Commanders trying to get out of a station with weird bits of metal tacked all over their ship. It would be bloody hilarious :D
I don't know what you are saying...

I could live with my T-9 looking this gorgeous...

(Allegedly ship kits in Odyssey do count in the hit box - but in the AMA the reply to my asking if I could impale foot players on the spikes didn't get a response...)

(At least this is a fun 'necro'!)

I did point out at the time that they'd make far more money for charity by selling it as a limited edition on general sale than auctioning a single one off, as well as in the process making it available to those players who don't have a stupid amount of money to spend on a video game skin (which let's face it, is virtually all of us) but sadly they decided to go for the dramatic gesture and in the process, blocked any of us from ever owning it in future since it's now locked behind that 'exclusive' caveat for the guy who bought it. A decision which was frankly stupidly shortsighted.
