“Sabiyhan” System Search Crash Mystery

A recent discovery has been made to my knowledge.

Searching the system Sabiyhan in the Galaxy Map system search leads to an immediate crash of the game on all platforms.

This discovery has been brought to light firstly by the player jbiscuit (to my current knowledge) to give them credit.

EDIT: As jbiscuit’s methods are against TOS I have removed their discussion posting.

Further, please test this bug for yourself! If your game crashes as well please report it to the open ticket to gain Frontier’s attention on the issue!

The crash also occurs with other derivatives of Sabiyhan being searched multiple times such as, searching “Sabi” 6 times.

Perhaps we have discovered the name of a secret system we are not yet supposed to know about? All cards on the table to discuss this strange occurrence of the system Sabiyhan. But nonetheless it currently causes a crash so upvote the issue so Fdev can resolve it!

Further seems searching sabiyha, sabiyh, and sabiy all lead to a crash as wel. The closest search you can get is sabi which is a real system that can be investigated. And as you search sabi it goes in alphabetical order until the 6th search which must be Sabiyhan which crashes the game right then.

Having read the thread there (google found it for me) I can see why the link was removed and I wouldn't advise restoring it. What you describe trying to do there is against the ToS - I hesitate to use the word 'cheating' but it mostly fits.

"Sabiyhan" is an anagram of "I Hans' bay," which leads us directly to Princess Leia.

From there it is pretty obvious.

This is the digital remnants of a social media account Leia had on a planet prior to its destruction by a Death Star. It isn't a system, it is a planet that no longer exists, which is why a search for it crashes your game.

And Sabiyha is an anagram of I bash ya, which could also be against the pegi rating.

Sabiyhan - bash ya in (being beaten up in Glasgow).

Sabiyhan - I Shaba NY (for fans of that kind of music).

Sabiy - say bi (for describing people who like that way of life).

Sabiyhan - a banshiy (a misspelt mythical screaming thing).

Sabiyhan - Han Sabiy (Han Solo's sister).
