Morphologis isn't optimistic about 2021

Why did CIG decide to remove Delamar now? I'll take you through their reasons and why it has huge implications for the 2021 development year. This won't be a super positive video, but it's honest.
So, let me get this straight: instead of making Nyx that was paid for by backers, CI-G are wasting their time and efforts on XenoThreat event (event!) that was not?
And more than that, while Nyx system can run on different server with temporary solution of having a loading screen (the cheek!) when jumping between the systems, XenoThreat event requires some stuff to be removed from the only system we have there out of 110 promised?
And Ci-G is going to add a new event with every next patch? Removing more and more of Stanton, becuase servers already are at their limit?
That... surely had never been done before.

Morphologis is a funny one to me. He was recommended to me as someone who is a fan but willing to give a critical assessment. But i've never really noted that. There again, i've not watched his stuff extensively. Maybe this is an example of that.

Oh, he does. Like this:

Roberts Critical Assessment 101:
1. Write a list of dozen+ items where SC needs to be improved, badly.
2. Say that being unable to add more content is a good thing.
3. ????
4. Buy an Idris.

It's a weird one - "CiG are removing stuff, but it might be ok, maybe they'll add <huge list of gameplay loops they've been promising for years>". Looks more like the quarterly updates will mainly add 'quarterly events' while they work in the background on iCache / meshing. Or at least say that they are...

His view that OCS and SSOCS are at the end of their capacity is prolly sound. But he concludes that Orison station and the Stanton star and gas giant are not coming until server meshing is in, which is start of 2022 at the earliest. Does the updated roadmap suggest as much or is that just the video author guess?

Some details/corrections about his video
OCS and SSOCS are at the end of their capacity since the second part of New Babbage (early 2020).
Stanton star/Crusader don't need server meshing, they will have in fact very few entities. They will be almost only visual effects and algorithmic zones.
For the real bunch of entities intended for 2021 (Orison+Aaron Halo+Jump Points), it depends on the number of entities they need. If it's way more than Delamar, perhaps SM is need. If it's almost the same as Delamar, SM is not needed.
Another bunch of entities he forgotten, some had hope to see animals (at least space cows) in 2021. Without SM, it should be certainly a big no.

If an event using a Javelin and an Idris is needed, all bets are off ;)

Published "playable now" game :D
I've been playing it all night, done a criminals at Kareah run, the Ai isn't good but if they do turn or activate then you get mullered in about 4 seconds.
I took a couple of search for missing crew missions, one was quite creepy it was planet side and there was a strange noise like stomping animals in a box which added to the ambiance, it was Dark, Windy, Freezing and my visor kept misting/freezing up and luckily I was wearing Novikov armour, apparently I was getting dehydrated to!
Found the pilot eventually and the noise lol was a 'box' jumping around as it was trapped under the ship :) I would have preferred the stored dangerous animals scenario.
Also a couple of the crew were sort of floating but still scannable. Bugs lol I made around 70k that'll do me as I wasn't in for the money.

I have no interest in mining etc. in this game at the moment as it is not anywhere near fully developed, I never got 30k'd once although I have on many occasions over the last couple of weeks.

I am crap at combat but I'll get there. (I remember the early forays into this field in Elite). Very little info on outfitting, that makes any sense to me ATM.

The other investigation mission was a blown apart ship in space and being able to shut my engines of and drop my rear hatch and step out into space and go to find someone is some thing I hope I can do in Elite at some point as it was pretty atmospheric (although there was no atmosphere).

I am in no way a fanboy like I was/am with Elite but recently I have found the change sort of refreshing.
Where is it headed... I do not know.

regardless of whether it's Elite or SC I hope they are developed in a way that isn't just about money/credits.

I nearly bought No Mans sky until I watched Worthabuys review, very pertinent of the gaming industry as a whole at the moment.
I hold out in eternal hope of better things to come.

You can beat on them with a baseball bat and they'd still find some argument why that felt good and is beneficial for them. And then they pay for the unique experience.

Mole, do you have sheeples? Are they really like that?
No sheeples...I get my fill of mindless herd behaviour strictly from Star Citizen...since my cows are way more intelligent and sophisticated...they also make less noise and are less racist than a herd of the faithful ;)

Middle class white folks, where would we all be without them? :D

Anyway, Morph's video is on point...but still way too optimistic from where I'm sitting. Replacing content with community goals might be fine for the pew crew...for everyone else, not so much.
