Galnet & Twitter: "an unknown vessel needs our help!"

To be fair I don't think they did.

That's what I thought at first, so I watched that bit again and they talk about there being something for us to find today. Then Arf goes on to talk about how they are planning to do some really hard things for us. I think we all just assumed this would be hard.

Of course with brute force things you always run the risk of it either being over very quickly, or dragging on for an age of the Earth. Now it could have been found by sheer coincidence, or not I don't know, but I was surprised that when I mapped the planet that a marker appeared on it saying 'Unknown'. I am slightly confused by the second Galnet article as it had co-ords in it, so I get the impression they weren't expecting the POI to show up after mapping the planet. Otherwise the co-ords are irrelevant. It does narrow it down to a planet, but that could have been done without providing co-ords.
At the moment, this all feels a little like it was designed for the pre-3.3 era...

Apparently they underestimated how quickly a player group like Cannon can search an 80ly radius and find the right place - bearing in mind that even though there are 4500+ systems in that radius, it only takes one player to decide to start at the "right" one and the search is over before it begins...

"they" as in the CM's? where's this come from?

There's a 4th... Did not screen shot tho

4th what?

sorry just trying to get all the info

I just checked archives in Codex and today logs kind of replaced those from "Project Mycoid"
EliteDangerous64 2021-01-28 19-05-17.jpg

The date, location of the find and sound of spoken log files have been replaced for three of those files: 1st,2nd and 4th. Main log text remained original.
Interestingly enough, 3rd entry remains unmodified. It might mean that there should be one more log somewhere in the prison that I couldn't find, or that it just bugged out in this peculiar way.
Anyway, I want my sound files for "project Mycoid" back. Those were much better than this lame text2speech.

...fleet carrier

:nerves jangle with excitement as more depth unearthed:

They're a bug. I flew to one, nothing there and the POI was moving as if in a different frame of reference to the planet.

:slumps into chair realizing the bugs are deeper than the gameplay:

edit-

:remembers how much he likes the shape of Arthur's cranium and rekindles hope there is indeed still more work to be done:
