Those gold diggers are worse than pirates.
I don't hire crew at all anymore, because of the magnitude of the credit leeching effect. It is too excessive for me to be able to accept it.
It is like a splinter under a nail. I am constantly aware of it.
No npc crew will ever be allowed on my ships unless FDev changes this mechanic and replaces it with something less ridiculous.

According to the expert opinion on page 1, they are either "bugged or faked", so there are no credits to be had I'm afraid

You see, it was a few years ago, I was going through my yearly accounts & I noticed that I couldn't account for something like a couple of hundred million credits.
Then I found out that it had been took out of MY earnings & paid to the lazy b* that had sat on his ARX in MY Ship doing f* all

He'd only been out on training exercises two or three times
We weren't up to much at the time, all the lore had suddenly dried up, & so we decided to give the old 'Conda a nice spring clean. His job was to clean the main airlock, in readiness for a 'rumoured' improvement in future technology, allowing me to acually survive on a Planet surface on foot - little did I know at the time that the technology was still years away.
Anyway, one thing led to another, a button or two got pressed while cleaning, he ended up floating past my cockpit window....& off into VERY deep space.
Well, Health & Safety got involved, nosey busybodies, asked for an explanation, next thing I was hauled up before the judge. Lucky we were once independent pilots you know, working together trying to get Jaques Station operational years before.....but he didn't let on

I think what she was trying to say at the end of her paragraph is "I've never known a mining company not want to throw credits at good escorts."
My previous crew pilot was a male, who rose to the combat rank of Master and earned over 700 million credits. I have since let him go off to a happy retirement with his saving. Now I have hired this new "personal assistant".

Hmmm, I guess you already know, but just in case you don't, and to avoid surprises, sometimes things are not quite as they seem.The adam's apple is a good indicator if you don't notice the size of the hands and feet. This sassy lass Karsyn Pugh is at Dangerous level from Mostly Harmless when i hired her about 10 days ago mostly bounty hunting at RES, you will also notice i have a thang for NPC's with bangs, trying to find a 3rd NPC crew member also with pink bob-cut (no not the "Karen" look ewe) with bangs to complete the collection.
Difficult when the NPC's in ED are fugly AF. Take a look at the collection just below to choose from, space radiation has not been kind to hooomans from the future.
