Galnet Update 09 FEB 3307 - Jupiter Rochester ....

Farragut Battle Cruiser FNS Pioneer Jordon Rochesters personal ship commanded by his sister Vice Admiral Juno Rochester stationed in Cemiess is missing just checked. It must be in HIP 54530 system
While it is a possibility it could also be that the Pioneer has been recalled into the nearest Federal port so the two Rochesters on board can be questioned about their brother. Say what you want about the Fednecks, but even they will not be stupid enough to not have those two undergo re-evaluation. After all: as Ambassador and Vice-Admiral respectively they have access to some high-level security data.

Jupiter Rochester Goes Rogue from Core Dynamics
09 FEB 3307
Several departments loyal to the Core Dynamics CEO have seceded to form an independent corporate republic called Jupiter Division.

During the recent trial of Fleet Admiral Vincent, Jupiter Rochester was named as the paymaster behind the sabotage of Starship One. This hastened long-term plans to abscond from Core Dynamics along with many ships and personnel.

In the permit-locked HIP 54530 system, the HIP 54530 Gold Universal Group has been renamed as Jupiter Division. It is assumed to have long been infiltrated by Rochester’s loyalists.

Using the new self-appointed title of Supreme Executive Rochester, he broadcast this statement across all Federal media channels:

“For many years, I helped Core Dynamics become one of the galaxy’s strongest companies, but petty laws and bureaucracy restricted me at every turn. I have always felt that people should not be ruled by politicians, but by those holding true economic power – the corporations.”

“It will be a long time before I can act on my commercial plans, but I will prove that corporate rule is the most beneficial system of governance for the Federation.”

Jupiter Rochester is the eldest son of Shadow Vice President Isolde Rochester, and a key member of the influential Rochester family. As yet there have been no public statements from his mother or siblings.

So Jupiter Rochester is a fascist by the looks of things. I can't imagine his empire ending well.

Pollical rule and corporate rule are to sides of the same coin. There's no difference. Only true republic rule of the people is different.

But, in this game, I agree that the only important thing is if we get new ships out of this!

I'm just waiting for the dot to be connected to Felecia Winters. But honestly close enough. I can't say I'm surprised, Hell I suggested this very thing, that Felicia was behind Halsey's disappearance, not Hudson.

Late to this party but if the story currently is that the Military Industrial Complex / The Club's tentacles are 'behind' this one and they planned it from the beginning recruiting people as needed, and they did it because Halsey was going to limit or reduce Military spending (read Private Contractors and Companies) which would vastly reduce, ahem, Jupiter Rochester's personal power base...with me so far?.....and they did all that in favour of Winters and not Hudson! Are you mad?!

No theres more to this and the trail leads knowingly or unknowingly to Hudson Presidency.

What do people have to say of JR? Has he been linked to The Club before as its says in one of the articles hes been linked to some secret organisation or other? Do you even know who he is or is this the first youve really heard of him?

Every time I get my hopes up for a new line of ships...

Didn't the devs say that every galnet article would have an effect in-game? Aside from the permits, every time one of the articles shows up it give some sort of indication or hint at a new line of ships or something other, but is immediately shot down by the next article. I'm starting to get the impression that this little Lakon/Core Dynamics storyline isn't going anywhere...
