Was transporting passengers between Robigo and Sothis when game went down due to "yellow adder". When game returned: passengers still in my cargo hold but my passenger missions tab is empty. Went to scan sirius atmospherics beacon and returned to Robigo but missions do not complete. Can't get new missions, can't get new passengers, can't get rid of old passengers.
Lost all my passenger missions AND can't get rid of passengers or take on new passenger missions

Didn’t lose missions but then my last disconnect was when I was about to land at the tourist beacon. Who knows what’s going to happen when I log in again tomorrow
Paul has the answer when this happens to me - reboot the game and they should sod off

Okay, I have a happy ending to report. First, Paul Smith III was essentially correct. I did restart the game shortly after the crash and that did not change anything. However, after about 30 minutes passed, I restarted the game again and BINGO, back to normal. Thanks everyone for your help. I'm now going to let Frontier know that I will no longer be requiring their technical support on this issue.
Phantom cargo/passengers bug. I got this myself and it's a nightmare. Imagine 10 pirate Anancondas interdicting you over and over again for the "tasty cargo" mission loot that the game says is NOT in your ship but the game thinks it is....

I say we should have an option to space passengers, let them count as murders or better still get a message as follows,
"CMDR, Kumo Crew has an offer to disembark your passenger prior to arrival. For 100k CR ea., jettison them, we will claim responsibility and add to our space cred as vicious, cruel spacers!"

This is one reason that maybe we should eventually have ships we can walk around. We could at least have the option of manually deleting them via shotgun.
I was doing the Robigo to Sothis missions at the weekend, after about 10 round trips i must have been flagging a bit. I forgot to drop my speed to zero at the mines and assumed the auto pilot had taken over. As i run shieldless so i can fit an extra cabin, it was only the second crash that i sat up and noticed my hull at 21%!!!! 2 of my passengers were not happy and failed the misson!!! What i would give for an airlock when that happens....not happy? Show them the door!
Never fly shieldless, because accidents can happen...
