What are your dream species that are already in the game?

Inclusion of what animals made you happy the most? Are there any of your dream species already made it to the game?

Name at least 10 of them.

Since everyone are talking about what species still they want and haven’t got. I decided to talk about amazing animals we already have.

I was really surprised and happy because of inclusion of:
1. Okapi - was always my favorite.
2. Bongo - the most beautiful antelope in my opinion.
3. Pygmy hippo - I would never guessed they will include them, it was the biggest surprise for me.
4. Giant anteater - must have in every zoo.
5. Hyena - very rare in European zoo’s so I thought it won’t have a chance to be included
6. Black wildebeest - rare species, I would suspect blue wildebeest but not this.
7. Warthog - who’s not loving Pumba? 😂
8. Himalayan bear - my favorite bear of all
9. Indian rhino - just love them to pieces 😍
10. Gharial - I would never guessed they might have a chance of inclusion.

And the biggest surprise of them all - the Aadvark - this animal was the positive trill for me 😍

I am really glad the following were included so far besides the obvious zoo spcies:

1. Giant anteater
2. Jaguar
3. Koala
4. Pygmy hippo
5. Bairds tapir (though if I had a choice, I would choose malayan)
6. Giant otter
7. Komodo dragon
8. Bongo
9. King penguin
10. Reindeer

My list:

1 - Red panda
2 - Pigmy hippo (to compensate the size requiremente of the big hippo)
3 - Reindeer
4 - Grey seal
5 - Koala
6 - Red kangaroo
7 - Siberian tiger
8 - Komodo dragon
9 - King penguin
10 - Polar bear (I'm glad it was added, I'm sad how it was added)

Ten, huh? Alrighty then:

1. Southern Cassowary - I was excited. It's not my favorite, but I think it adds a lot of character to a zoo
2. Gharial - typically "forgotten", the Gharial is my favorite croc
3. Dingo - maybe a bit controversial, but I enjoy the Dingo
4. Giant Otter - I like Otters, this one is just crazy amazing
5. Jaguar - my favorite cat
6. Red-Eyed Tree Frog - my favorite amphibian and a tropical icon
7. Cuvier's Dwarf Caiman - these little crocs are fun to watch and breed like crazy
8. Lehmman's Poison Frog - a cute little death-machine
9. Green Iguana - it's almost like a living dinosaur
10. Ring-Tail Lemur - my favorite primate

Well since my favorite animal the lion is always a guaranteed shoe in the ten animals I’m happy to have are in no particular order are:
1) Dall Sheep didn’t start off this way of course as I really don’t think anyone seen this coming or could really claim it was their dream animal but that’s what’s so amazing about this inclusion. Probably the most spectacular addition animal wise to the game and a 👍 to frontier for including it.
2) Koala was actually worried we may not get these guys and I’ve only used them once but very happy to have them.
3) Mandrill love using these guys
4) Indian Rhino always wanted one in zt2 instead of the Javan species then it won AD’s fan favorite but didn’t have to wait in this game. Ironically now I’m desperate for the white rhino but either African species will do. I prefer both lol.
5) King Penguin my favorite aquatic pack animal. Always felt we’d eventually get one but did have my doubts. Once again hats off to frontier for diving animations.
6) Giant Otter would have preferred the North American River Otter in its place(very popular in NA zoos) but I’m just happy to have otters period.
7) Giant Anteater great unique choice in game. Always wished zt2 had one in base game.
8) African Elephant probably my favorite animal in game and to build for.
9) Grey Seal great choice and unique at that. Now if frontier would just bend the rules a little and give us a elephant seal.
10) Polar Bear I know the habitat size has given this animal a little grief but very happy it’s been included. I play sandbox with animal welfare off usually so I love these guys. It’s also from my favorite pack to date(although aquatic is close).

Nice idea

Here goes, no particular order except Grizzly

1. Grizzly Bear
2. Dall Sheep
3. Red Panda
4. Giant Anteater
5. Pygmy Hippo
6. Siberian Tiger
7. Cassowary
8. Gorilla
9. Koala
10. Bison

Well of course my favorite animal of all time is the Giant Panda, but that's pretty much a given inclusion for Zoo simulators (Except for the Xbox/PC game Zoo Tycoon that came out a few years back, grumble grumble what the heck!). So it's not a surprise.

Red Pandas, Hyenas and Koalas are also among my favorites but they should at some point be fairly standard in zoo games, though not necessarily at initial release.. It was good to see the first two in the base game, and the Koala in the first year of DLC.

I don't know WHY I like this animal so much, but I was amazed that the Aardvark made it into the base game. I'm really glad they did as they are really unique looking. It was probably the biggest surprise, to me, for the base game animals.

The other five I'd say the Japanese Macaque, the Timber Wolf (although that is a given as standard inclusion), King Penguin, Bengal Tiger (another given or at least some species of Tiger), and Warthogs.

I would have picked the otter, except I really don't like Giant Otters. They are creepy looking to me. Don't get me wrong I'm glad we have any otter at this point they would just have been the last otter species I would have picked. I'm hoping we at least get one more species of otter, but if not, at least we got an otter of some kind.

Also honorable mention to the polar bear. I was so excited when it was revealed. They are beautiful animals. Sadly they are also unplayable in sandbox (not literally of course, but from a cost and space management perspective)

It really depends. :D Some species I love in real life, but they give me a headache in PZ (lloking at you, Ringtailed Lemurs). Others I don't enjoy as much IRL (elephants) but loooove them in PZ.

Guessing you mean IRL animals, in no particular order, except 1.

1. Orang Utan
2. Gorillas
4. Chimpanzee
5. Bonobo
6. Llama
7. Seal (though I prefer harbour)
8. Reindeer
9. Ring Tailed Lemur
10. Sibirian Tiger
11. Bengal Tiger
12. Lion
13. Jaguar
14. Snow Leopard

Can you tell I am an "Affen-" (the german words includes apes, lemurs and monkeys) and cats fan?

Also: I second that. That's why I did not include the giant otter. Biggest DLC disappointment for me ( I know others had this moment because of the Llama and the Dingo).

This may make it worse, but those Otters are vicious little monsters (in real-life). They've been known to hunt and kill Caimans. That's why they have the nickname in Spanish "perros de agua" (water dogs/wolves)

Fun fact: in Spanish the word for Otter is Nutria. And the word for Nutria is Nutria. So, to tell the difference, they call the Nutria Nutria "Nutria Ratón/Rata" (Nutria Rat) and the Nutria Otter just Nutria

I knew what little monsters they are. :D To be honest, I don't really dislike them IRL (though they are my least favourite otter species and I don't see tham as cute), but my disappointment is more based on the fact, that they are, compared to other otter species, quite rare in zoos. Only a few zoos can afford to keep them, which is why I would have prefered the Asian small clawed otter that can be found in a high numbre of zoos and is pretty easy to keep. It's also the one species social media is flooded with, so most people who think "otter" think of those small little critters.

Interesting fun fact about spanish though. In german otters are indeed just Otter, BUT we use the same word for a family of snakes. An Adder is "Otter" here, but we usually add the specific species to not get confused with the cute otters with four legs.

Basically we wanted the anotter Otter rather than the Odder Otter.

(sorry, I'll show myself out)

but seriously, they have a voldemort nose and their eyes are soulless voids! They're fine to look at from afar but every close up picture they're like some kind of demon possessed snakedragon ready to mug you.

That's right 😀 I'm Spanish and we call them both "Nutria", but the nutria rat, we also call them Coipo, which is how I call them to not get confused, but yeah, most people (or at least the ones who don't call them a big and fat rat 😒) usually call both nutria.
Though, I think even the giant otter are kind of cute and very playful, I've watch them a couple times and actually I will say they're my favourite species of otter 🙂

But my favourites animals are always going to be big cats, I love tigers and I wish we had leopards.
If I have to make a list:
1) Bengal tiger
2) Siberian tiger (which i really love to be included to have some diversity)
3) Snow leopard
4) Okapi (I'm fascinated with this animal irl)
5) Lion
6) Timberwolf
7) African elephant
8) Cheetah
9) Sable antelope (i love them, their horns are just beautiful)
10) Jaguar (idk, I prefer leopard irl)
Probably i'm forgetting some animal, but pretty much will be this
Also I really loved the inclussion of the aardvark, I think they are really a cute and unique animal.

Oh, cool. My family is from Argentina, and we call them Coypu (very similar). My local zoo just acquired some Giant Otters. They are very loud, just screaming, and I love watching them. I can go to the zoo everyday, to be honest

In my local zoo they had a couple of baby otters a year ago and they are so cute to watch the play and swim around with their parents, altough the last time I saw them they are almost the same size 😀 but I really like watching them for some time to be honest 🙂
