General / Off-Topic While we're waiting, Antares launches in around 30 minutes (2230 GMT ish)

I knew it didn't look right about 3 seconds into liftoff, and what do you know .....booom.

NASA not having a good day, hope everyone's ok.

On the other hand it worked in Kerbal earlier.

I admire the professionalism of the people talking, in the face of a disaster, they are following protocol.

I can hear the shake in his voice, but he is making sure everything goes to the letter.

A job I'd not like.

God speed, NASA.

Looked way too slow off the pad, then either a shutdown/cutoff or failure, and down it came. Only got a few hundred feet by the looks of it.

Thankfully, no reports of injuries!

Memories of seeing Challenger explode in '86. I was watching it live on the telly and got the same dumbstruck feeling just now. I know no one was hurt (thankfully) but it's still a bummer for all involved.

Maybe we shoulda sent the pizza to them?

Same here, it looked like there was an explosion of some sort at the top a second after launch.

Yup Challenger sad, but as said hope no one was hurt, wonder what kind of thud you would feel @ 10 miles?
