Anyone found any Engineered Suits/Weapons?

While I understand and have no big problems with CG modules, even if those may be a bit unfair at some point, my problem is that some already have pre eng suits.
And we others have to grind for them. This unbalances things and will make people play in solo more. Or even not play anymore.
Fairplay? Where is the fairness?

Some have to grind for the suits, some can buy them already without the grind, with CR. CR we all have. Engineers, not yet.

What's the matter? Grind for materials, grind for RNG suits & weapons.

If RNGsus is with you, you can skip a lot of grind.

I for one welcome the Odyssey for preengineered stuffz.

Buying engineered items should NOT be a thing anyway.

It makes Odyssey feel detached from the gameplay loop (unlock engineer / collect materials / modify assets) we are accustomed to after years of engineering ships.

People have been calling for the ability to skip that with CR for years. Now they can. Choice is good. And not everyone will be happy that others have choice. Which is standard around here

I certainly know how MMOs work, so no need to talk down to me on the subject.

I also know that ED isn't really an MMO.

Plus your example is terrible. No suits anyone has mentioned is fully engineered.

There is nothing to indicate that any of the engineered suits/weapons are any different than what you can do with engineering yourself. And it would make zero sense to release the suit equivalent of double engineered FSD on the day of release.

The Devs said that pre-engineered suits and weapons would appear randomly before release.

But you can't find them anymore and people already have them before you. How's that sounding to you now?

It would be the same for any newcomer in a month or a year as is in all the games.

You can engineer it yourself or get a random suit. What's the problem again?
You might skip some grind if you get lucky, but I suspect you won't find G5 gear and the experimentals are random.

So far, when some has reported a particular suit you can go there and find it. How random is random?

I thought it was limited stock and/or RNG (enter base, dice roll what stuff is there rng).

If you "just" have to find the location where the G5 stuff is sold. Well, guess it will spare me a lot of grind then

Everything is there, but it's all G1.

I call that a good idea, insead of having to grind some stupid menial work you actually get something from looking around. Unless they set the spawn chance to .0001 on their beloved RNG.

the station i was at before the DLC dropped had a G3 Dominator suit, was about 3M credits iirc. but none of the other suits and only Plasma and laser weapons no kinetic so it's scattered across the galaxy.

i think G3 will be the highest you can buy.
but some content creator's will let's us know eventually.

G3 should be more then enough to complete most PVE content, PVP or CZ can grind G4 much quicker, now you have the choice.
if you can "skip" G1 & G2 and get a "Clean" G3 which can still be upgraded and attachments added later, why not?

the thing that bothered me the most about the "Alpha" was the insane amount of time it took to get the unique items needed for upgrades, without the ability to exchange like we have with ship engineering. i NEVER found a single power regulator the entire time.
