Having a simple issue that a thousand people vote on becomes a higher priority then a more severe issue that a lesser number of people are having, but could be game breaking. ie. the Apex Shuttle glitchIn fairness, requesting the materials back is probably more of a job for support. Especially as Frontier won't see your specific issue unless you get 6 or so other people to confirm it (specifically for your materials).
But yes, the Issue Tracker is horribly designed even when it isn't outright broken like just there. IMO it was rushed out as a PR measure, with less regard given to how practical it actually is.

We were made aware of an issue affecting Engineering Materials that we wanted to fix as quickly as possible. To that end, a hotfix is currently being deployed for Odyssey. This is not expected to disrupt your gameplay or require any downtime.

Ok. Find the relevant issue on the issue tracker and confirm it, or submit a support ticket. You aren't going to get technical help on a hotfix forum thread posted for everyone to see..It's been 3 days, I think I have shown a reasonable amount of patience. Thanks.
I'm not worried about ranks, my suspicions are that is just a visual bug, since I believe you can still do rank-up missions. I bought a cutter yesterday, with a blank rank. But yes, I hope they blanket-restore all those deleted materials.FWIW, both the lost materials and ranking bugs are present in Odyssey too.
I must have lost 70+ sensor fragments, and I'm "blank" rank 100% instead of getting the ranking mission to finally take me from rear admiral to admiral.

We all have patience, if only were an oddysey problem it be ok, but the game is unplayable, some mechanics are broken, you cant even trade whit a decent pay.
