BGS war outcomes don't work anymore. Need to be solved ASAP

See ticket https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/35912

Multiply BGS players report this big issue.

Problem is:
Your faction win a war/election. Your faction should gain a station and/or the system.
But this BGS issue you don't gain a station, you don't gain the system, instead your losing inf from the faction you fought with.

So at the moment all BGS seems to be useless....

Last night I won a war to gain access to a base.
Once today's tick happens I will see if the base is mine.
If it isn't I will add my 2 cents worth to the support ticket.

Didn’t the Devs stop Odyssey affecting the BGS while the balance it to stop Anarchy factions being trashed by everyone farming mats?

It happens not only with Anarchy faction but with all type of factions.
See for example Gungo, Ngaliep, Nkwalas, etc etc
Some of them are closing the gap again and trying to win a war again and hopefully gain station and/or system.

Yes they didn't.

Which BGS are we talking about btw? The Horizons or the Odyssey one? Or the result we end up with after they attempt to sync both into one?

Where did they say that?
I only know of this post:
but it doesn't say they've stopped anything, only that they will investigate it.

The entire BGS seems to be totally broken.
No Inf changes at the Tick, bigger than Expected swings when it eventually happens, all that swing and some more BACK with the extra overnight tick so you are worse off than before you started.
Station News saying 1 thing, System Map saying another
EDH Client saying 1 thing, EDO another

Its just impossible to acheive anything, or even know WTH is going on from 1 minute to the next.
Where do you even start raising bugs for something so catatrophically broken ? (And then, whats the point!)

The post you quoted had a question mark at the end of the sentence.
Maybe, but in the next post you seemed rather certain, which makes the first question sound like rhethorical one.
And maybe I should have quoted the second post.

But nevermind. I got my answer.

The faction I was supporting yesterday gained control of a base that doesn't seem to exist in Horizons - and perhaps not in Odyssey. Inara is aware of its existence but has no details.
It seems that there are several new bases in this system; it's going to be a tough climb to the top for any new faction.

IIRC means If I Remember Correctly. 🙄
Jeez 🤦‍♂️
So you were not 100% sure, but enough to write something about it - so I asked if you remember anything else, like where it might have been said - like, maybe in a stream, or somewhere I could have missed.
No need to get so defensive. Just clarify and let's move on.

Your faction win a war/election. Your faction should gain a station and/or the system.
Elections seem to work correctly - at least all the ones I've watched did. Just wars that are broken, and then possibly only control wars: I've seen some new Odyssey surface bases change hands as expected after a war, too.

I wonder if the issue is that:
- in a war, Odyssey assets change hands (according to the documentation) based on the CZs won at that asset
- space stations don't have surface CZs (obviously) so are always draws and therefore don't change hands

So the https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/35912 is "fixed" but nothing changed since then, with the controlling faction of the assets remaining the losing side of the war. Many ticks took place and one more patch (i think #3??) has been released since then
After patch #2 (the patch, that fixed the issues, at least for the issue tracker) and the following tick, my faction still won the war but never gained control of the station.

I have created a support ticket for losing an asset, but didn't get any kind of reaction since then. 7 days and counting and staying calm and patient, but it's still very disappointing, because it took two weeks of preparation, 6 days of combat and organizing stuff with our allies, winning the war only to get nothing?

This is not an acceptable outcome of this operation.
