Doesn't all look too good.
Honestly, I tried, but somehow I'm too stupid to mine Tritium. In summed up 2 to 3 hours (in two tours, without travel times) I only got around 50 Tritium mined (in Python, all Tritium from laser mining, didn't find a single core, even when I was in a hotspot). Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Two days left, I may give this another try, but I don't think, I'll get higher than last reward tier (Top 75 to 100%).

You dont want cores for the CG.. Cores would be bonus money only items, cores slow down tons collected instead of laser or sub surface core mining lowers possible tons and this CGs are for "tons" of the item...

Tritium is not a core mining item that was the rival CG that failed...
Cores require PWA usage, Laser does not... Sub surface mining requires PWA use...

Yeah, a bit disappointing.

At present, that means getting top 50%, requiring mining 138 tritium, will give you 18m, which pays 130k each.

This can be compared with Platinum, which pays 300k each, and can be mined approximately 50% faster.

I'm fairly certain we won't make tier 2, but hey, who knows.

If Fdev are listening, the reward would need to be enough for higher tiers to overcome Platinum in terms of income. Given that Platinum can be mined about 50% faster, that means a reasonable reward for top 10% would be something like 300 million. Added to the 100m they'd get on average for reaching top 10%, it would result in roughly 400k per tritium.

This would mean top 10% would be roughly equal to platinum income, and the top 25% and down would be a substantial improvement. Honestly, given the limited timeframe to get to the next tiers, I think this would be okay, and might trigger a short-term tritium mining rush.

Thanks! While I have this game since an eternity, I'll never really got into it until now, so I'm a newb on many, many levels. So good to know. ;)
Even if I question now a bit more, if I'll ever achieve something like 100 or more Tritium an hour.

Python can run 4 beams with 8/9 collectors with 192 tons of storage in a double or triple over lap with Weapon focused G5 power distro...
If you run lower than that then the python is running below the most efficient laser build. It is able to copy the Cutter laser builds, it just has lower cargo storage and lower collectors...
Upgrading thrusters reduces time for rock to rock travel... increasing the rock count got too faster, so you collect more tons per hour...

Sub topic
Did my final delivery early as a space opend up in Gateway system, so jumped the carrier, and Am going to be done for the CG...

I'm fairly certain FD crunch the numbers on all CGs in advance, and specifically design most CGs around limiting the chances of success to just the margins they're comfortable seeing as an end result.

It fails lots of times because their still never sure what the player count will be...
For this CG the player turn out is still low for a mining CG... and for an Alliance "we don't care about money we do it for the alliance" CG the response had been before
Its a low turn out in players still for an alliance CG...

The question I haven’t seen answered is what is meant by a permanent permit?
The Aloith permit isn’t difficult to get so what’s the benefit? What changes are coming, is Aloith going to some kind of pay-per-visit permit system?

Temp permits are timed or meant to be time limited so that you have restricted limited time to access a system they have been made available...
Permits are not always going to be permanent issued now.
During recent CGs temp permit were issued to locked system and can be issued to any permit locked system and then removed after CG... Aloith has been a permanent permit available system, so yes other permits can be temp now...

Last time I looked up Fernweh I understood it as a longing for a place youve never been. Most people have Fernweh for the Caribbean or Australia or Canada or USA or maybe even the Moon is how I took it. A desire to go there but more than that.

1. Its supposed to be an easier route for new people - especially the ones who got it free on Epic & GamePass
2. There has been 'follow up' action in those Systems within weeks of the Permit issuing CG (usually another CG but also rescuing burning people from damaged stations)

So its just an easy in, a freebie or helping hand to the new people really. The temp ones were coz Material Traders were offering discounts in those systems for a while iirc.

More generally it's not any specific place. "Far sickness" as opposed to homesickness. Wanderlust is pretty similar too.

Tedious as hell, but it's 12 mill every six to eight minutes for hauling, so paying for a lot of FC maintenance and ship builds.

Would these extra stations have been put anywhere useful, anyway?

we are not going to know now and that going to be the issue.

Untill the stations are built we wont know the economy and sites they will create...

The single station we are going to get will be the only station in that system so it will be the Exclusive sale location so what ever the BGS get assigned to give this station from the planets will be for this station only no sharing the systems resources with other stations...

How this effects EDO gameplay in this system is not known yet as it might have to spawn settlements for EDO missions...
We will never know what else these stations could bring to those systems and it might be better not to know as we don't get them now...

Wahay, while i feel slightly guilty like many others i'm sure and not getting round to doing any mining and contributing to the actual CG (and i won't have time to mine tonight, when i don't think it'll make a difference in us magically reaching tier 2)...

But the profit from haulinh cargo instead was too good too good to ignore and after years of grind since the PS4 version's launch, i finally reached Elite in trade! (and indeed in any path).

Looking at my shiny new gold PS trophy, i see i'm one of less than 5% of Playstation players to reach Elite in anything 😃🤘😎 .

(While was getting about 3% rank a run hauling Superconductors last week, i was getting 5% a run in this in my 584 unit capable Corvette, vs half a percent to one percent a run in many other trade CGs.)

Now i've to concentrate on combat to unlock Lori Jameson, as i'm "only" 79% Master in combat (and 27% Ranger in Exploration).

Anyway, hopefully the ONE station we unlock will be a nice one! 😃🤘 .

One station is good. One reason I like the Pleiades region is that there's usually only one station in each system. This makes mission running and stacking much simpler.

EDO users may not be able to collect there bonus pay....
EDH users likely can via the big complete button... after the maintenance

I would laugh now if they really put the boot in and build one station in a previously Permit Locked sector and unlock one system. That would teach us :)

Pilots Federation ALERT

Prime Minister Edmund Mahon’s request for mined tritium has concluded, paving the way for new Alliance starports.

Large quantities of tritium were delivered, which will provide fuel for a civil infrastructure programme designed to increase the Alliance’s presence.

As part of this expansion, new Alliance starports will be constructed in these systems by the 25th of June 3307:

LHS 2522

Sharru Sector FW-W c1-19

Prime Minister Mahon, who was recently re-elected by the Assembly, told the media:

“The economy of the Alliance will benefit greatly from investment in expansion. These new stations will provide more opportunities for individuals and corporations alike.”

Pilots who mined and delivered tritium can now collect their rewards from Dublin Citadel in the Gateway system.

Got 2 new stations 🤷‍♂️
