I can't keep up, Yamicks is quite funny - like a p***d of OAhey @[VR] Amy Pendergasst How many example in the other thread, do you think we will find in this thread from this point on :}
Does this mean that once Update 5 drops that there will be no further optimisation on PC until Consoles are ready to receive Odyssey?
My GPU is runnig at 101.5% power usage constantly in Odyssey... Yet framerates are low...
Uhm. Yes. there was never any backlash to things FD did. Sure.they declared it a finished product then released it in a heavily bugged state - this is a moment where they NEED backlash so this doesn't happen again. history has proven that if they don't receive backlash, bugs will go unpatched for years and they'll think it's acceptable for future releases
Thanks for the roadmap.
I assume this first section means that Odyssey isn't expected to be in a full release quality state (with all performance issues and bugs fixed) until console release?
And you guys gave it a clogged artery.Our community have always been the beating heart of Elite Dangerous

Exactly. People saying its going to be a disaster, just have no idea how well the optimisations are going to be after update 5 goes live.I did read the content of the roadmap - which was why I framed the question that way as I didn't see mention of incremental updates following Update 5:
Which reads to me that the console release will see 'final' optimisation on console release.
We'll have to see what is achieved in the next 3 Updates in performance, there may be huge strides between now & then.
