It makes me sad, that Starfield have something I miss in Elite.

i didn't. that might have been good to mention in the video (i was thinking it is some kind of promo material rearranged or something).
we know nothing about starfield, but knowing bethesda it will probably be more like the outer worlds than a space simulator.

Cool looking black holes, for example. Or space exploration that is actually more dangerous than just crashing into a sun because of micro-sleep.
What do you think of the game?

I think we know absolutely nothing about the game or what it and its black holes will look like. Most of the footage from that video comes from Space Engine, with the exception of the few leaked screenshots which aren’t even 100% confirmed legitimate.

Calling space travel “dangerous” could literally mean nothing more than occasionally being intercepted by pirates during travel, just like in Elite. We simply don’t know enough about it right now to pass judgement.

Im really looking forward to starfield. Bethesda has a history of turning out quality RPGs and not neglecting them once they do. They also turn out finished products (didnt play 76) unlike some other game dev companies.
Finished products? Bugged as hell is now finished? And dont get me started on creation club and the DLC. What was that? Only cosmetics in FO76? FO4 quality RPG? I don't think there is consensus about that with the steady simplification of the character progression.
They do make top quality open worlds. That I'd agree to,

You know what's funny?

76 is actually a really solid game now.

People need to stop taking the initial reviews from launch as a statement on the current game as it is nothing like that now.
I'm actually stoked to hear that. I'll have to fire up my old account. Thanks!

If starfield is skyrim in space, im good :)

We know nothing about this game that is set in stone, other than it's set in space, is an RPG, and is by Bethesda.

The rest of the video is pure speculation, and he is just parroting what has already been speculated.

Can safely dump this one in the trash as yet another clickbait video TBH.
Sadly, I know enough to be disappointed. Xbox/pc exclusive 😒

It would be naive to have thought it had a y chance of coming to PlayStation once the Microsoft deal got signed.

This is like me saying Sony-owned studios not releasing on Xbox is disappointing.

Bethesda is Microsoft now.
I just think exclusive stuff is worse for those excluded than it is good for those included and as such is just shady, business or not.

If you own the company that makes the game, what is the point of platform exclusives? If the game is any good it will make a ton of money. Do people actually go to the expense of buying a system just to play one game?

yes, they do (it's a weird thing, but a lot of discussion is about whether to get a ps or xbox because of this or that game.)

I can't justify a combination of scalper prices and losing over a decades worth of psn friends for 1 game. But it's always going to bother me. I'm still butthurt about still having never played kotor or fable etc. Not everyone can afford to just go buy every new toy that comes out.

It's mostly modders who make their open worlds "top quality", though.

Agreed. Honestly, not something I would expect from OA.
Speculation videos are fine but this is kind of presented as facts which is weird.

OA has been hit and miss lately somewhat in general. Maybe he has less time for his videos or something.

Having read this again, I would like to remind you, no platforms were ever stated for Starfield.

Nothing was "pulled" as there has never been anything to pull.

And frankly, even if they had been working on it, guess what? They have not ever started selling the game. You literally have no standing here.
No standing? I’ve simply stated that I’m very disappointed that a company with a track record of producing cross-platform games, that was in the process of introducing a new space-based RPG that most of not all industry watchers expected to release as a cross-platform product ... got bought by Microsoft and then - surprise, surprise - announces they will no longer be supporting PlayStation on said new RPG.

I have EVERY standing to be disappointed by that. Would I have a legal case to raise a law suit? Of course not - and I’m no suggested for a second that I should!!! But you can’t tell me I don’t have a right to be disappointed by that move from a company that’s had a decent chunk of change from me over the years.

My advice here would be to consider that with a new owner, comes new direction.

In a few respects, that company you have given a chunk of change to over the years, no longer exists.

Heh, it’s a game ... I’m not losing sleep over it ... but I’m disappointed in them, none the less. Kinda par for the course of MS, though, so not hugely surprised.

Will be interesting to see what happens when/if the next Elder Scrolls game is announced. If that becomes a PC / XBox exclusive (and I fully expect MS to stick to form on that ...) then I think there will be rather more noise about it.

I really want Sony to buy Bungie and then make the next Halo a PS Exclusive. I mean, I have no interest in player Halo but it would be f***ing hilarious! 😂

Except Ant mentions in the video that the ONLY images that have ever been released of Starfield are leaks, and he points them out in the video, there's only 4 of them or something like that. Did you watch the video? From 4mins and 9seconds. Only 4 images.
