I am also aware of Google search being supervised by humans and as such being biased.
When I am REALLY researching on some subject,
Google search is useful to find out about two things:
- what is the most aggressively pushed interpretation,
- on what pages usually people are stopping continuing searching,
And in the end I try to focus on peer-reviewed scientific journals anyway if the subject of search allows that.
Otherwise I just try to reach enough contradicting opinions / summaries.
Because it's easier to distinct the "true" core from "biased", subjective interpretation in some information set,
when you focus in inconsistencies in different articles on the some subject.
