Salad cream is the bribe parents allow kids to put on their salad so they'll actually eat it.That too. It's just that mayo is easier if you're in a hurry. But butter is better.
We were talking of uses for this strange "salad cream" or whatever it was.
Ok, now I'm calling the gendarmes.Salad cream is the bribe parents allow kids to put on their salad so they'll actually eat it.
It's basically ketchup for lettuce.
True story: when I lived in the UK I had a magnificent fish and chip shop that sold b-i-g portions. My father in law took a photo of the full plate and showed it to his French neighbour who just cried looking at it.That's just cruel. Posting stuff like that. Damn, but I'm drooling.
Here is a song you could play while cookingReally? REALLY? What have you got against kale?!? Pan fried, bit of salted butter... or roasted in olive oil 'til just slightly crispy? Perfect with duck and nice rich sauce?

I'll give you Frenchies this, other than my gratitude for the assist with kicking George's oysters, you do know how to make a mean sammich! My dear friend, you need a lesson in sandwiches.
For your good old French sandwich, you need a baguette (that's obvious), and butter. With ham, and pickles. If you're fancy, you might use a bit of cheese.
But, you can also make for example a roast chicken sandwich. In that case, I use a bit of ketchup (or any tomato based sauce) for the bread, lettuce, tomato, some cheese (greek feta usually), chicken (obviously), but also some mayonnaise. You can use a baguette for bread, or a different one ! I use naan bread, pita bread, or ciabatta myself.
Or any Napalm Death video of modulated screaming. Here is a song you could play while cooking
Just don't mind the spelling.
Or pronunciation.

We mostly eat white bread. Sliced bread is rarely used for your average meal. That's probably why.Saying that- the French use far too much sugar in (sliced) bread.
Sound good, but I'm very sensitive to mustard, a hint of it, and my nose is in fire^^You, my friend, need to be introduced to the traditional Cuban-American 'medianoche'.
Pork, ham, mustard, cheese and pickles. Lightly toasted if that's your preference...
