Keeps you warm in the winter (I've heard that's a season some places in the world have), BBQs your steak, can be used for drawing and, if necessary, has ballistic properties too.

It makes for a great building material too - my relations in North Wales managed to acquire a huge lump of it and carved it in to a shed, tunneling their way in, adding a door frame and window and burning the spoil for heat.
