After mocking FDev for the last month, I have to be fair and mention that the patch notes look pretty good - especially the rework to the galaxy/system and mission UIs.

Of course, they SHOULD have done all that stuff before/during beta, but, you know, baby steps.

Oh, mocking is absolutely fine and definitely warranted, I'd be the last person to say that people shouldn't point out what's not working because feedback is the only thing that has a hope of bringing about improvements. You're not going to fix something you don't know is broken.

And the fact that FD is in this mess is definitely nothing but an own goal.

But it is what it is and here we are. Do we give up on it while they're still working to fix it or do we just wait and see (offering advice, criticism and mockery as called for along the way)?

I'm for the latter, and I sense that most people in here are too.

No. But I'd be tempted to try, if it wasn't for the fact that I'd almost certainly get in trouble with the law.

Compared to me she is. I'd be at Defcon 2 by now if I were in her shoes. But you're right, it is her job. Just not a job I'd want.
