I'd love to, but my house is just way too small though^^ We'd have to find a place for it :D
But yeah, the idea is everyone bring something, food, cooking expertise, game, whatever. It needs to be cheap, nothing fancy. The idea is not to awe the others with money, more to make everyone feel comfortable, poor or rich, and enjoy the moment.

Yeah it's like a steam room down here. I'm at my beach place right now (rough life I know) and it's still hot/humid as hell even at the coast.

I actually prefer the humidity though. Las Vegas, Phoenix, etc feel un-natural to me. Going outside is like putting your head in front of an oven door while you open it.

Also - the heat doesn't matter if you are in the water :). We can swim April to October and sometimes even a bit longer. (I hate winter lol)

That is exactly how a social gathering with food, drink and friends should be.

It was so hot here the cheese was melting before it went into the oven:D
