Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

I've no problem with bugs in alpha/beta, not in released products.

You're in luck then!

CIG are never going to slap a release label on SC in the nearest future. Maybe never. It will be alpha, then beta, then perhaps they dare to call it early access!

And as long as they don't release it, they can keep selling ships for $$$

Its the perfect scheme. All upsides, no accountability, and backers who will chant "ITS ALPHA" all day long to excuse everything.

SQ42 will be released sooner of later, with bugs or not. Will see if CIG is able to release a product in a decent state.

Took the local flight into Kirkwall today to see Mrs Mole rather than spend the entire day on the ferry...it was a bit lumpy during the 11 minute flight there and back due to the crap weather...so much so I was raking around looking for the parachutes. I really hate hurtling toward the ground stuck inside an aeroplane, in my previous life, I had invariably jumped out long before the plane got anywhere near the ground...

I've had thousands of take offs and the generally peaceful flying bits...but only a handful of actual landings still trapped inside the plane, maybe why I dislike the landings so much. Scares the living crap out of me

Noticed that EDO is only using half the cores on the Ryzen...maybe why it's tanking the GPU.
It just means the CPU isn't the bottleneck, which is what you want, you want the GPU to be free to run the game at its maximum performance, if you look at my GPU load its pegged at 99%, if there was a problem with the CPU not being fast enough the GPU load would be less than that and the performance would be less, corresponding to how much the CPU was bottlenecking the GPU.
:)

Edit: also notice the smoothness of the frame times line, again with the GPU alowed to run free frame pacing is very good, consistent frames, not high frame rates, you can have 200 FPS if the frame times are not consistent you will feel it, even tho the frame rates are only around 50 they are very consistent so it feels very smooth.

I hope the visit went well at least.

I’ve not had the pleasure of Kirkwall, but my employer sent me to Sumburgh once. The landing was interesting.

Hello Citizen,

Don't miss your chance to pledge for the RSI Scorpius, Crusader Hercules Starlifter, and Tumbril Nova! These ships will be leaving the pledge store on Wednesday, June 23 (at 23:59 UTC), so act fast before they depart in 48 hours. If you're looking to equip yourself with fearsome firepower, you need to grab these ships now before they're gone June 23 (at 23:59 UTC).

Last chance people! You don't want to miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity! You'd be a fool not to! Pledge now! Pledge more! God bless Chris Roberts and his disciples!

Mike talking about a massive content drop.

Can someone summarize what happened? Or are SC players so content starved that the addition of a new location is called "massive"?

Is there actually a game yet for the cash effort to go into?
