Which is true- its why I look with interest in things like vat grown meats and vegetable based substitutes which will most likely form the bulk of meat production in the future. Aside from learning to master the serum needed to culture tissue it would eliminate most problems and be ideal at industrial scales.that's fine out in east bumbleuck village. Not really an option in a city of 10 million. etc.
In the end it comes down to how people eat- either eating less higher quality meat (or none at all), or going for new technologies. What can't go on is demanding more and more animals / monocrops which wipe out whole ecosystems.
