Gets more and more bothered by "You lost a customer you gained last night" thread, as "last night" gets more inaccurate by 24h each day and gives a totally wrong impression that FD are gaining and losing one more user per day. Considers reporting thread so that a moderator rota be established to update the thread title each day at midnight, replacing "last night" with "2 weeks ago", "15 days ago", "3.2 moon cycles ago", "21 days before the Germany-Hungary football match", etc.
Maybe the dude is stuck in a time loop, like groundhog day ?

Yeah, but the american will never understand cheese rolling. A tube rolling down a hill is quite anticlimatic.
Perhaps post your flow rate of the river as throughput through your cooling sys will make them stop?

It's basic respect for statistics. If you are going to attack FD through numbers, at least have the decency to make them accurate and meaningful. A +1/-1 retention score is useless without its proper time window context. "Last night" simply doesn't cut it. What do they even mean by night by the way? Between sunset and sunrise in the UK where the ED servers are located? I suspect not, and they mean their own local timezone. And should we really believe that the customer was gained and lost past sunset but before sunrise? Again, I suspect this is more of a vague expression. But then, the numerical nature of the attack is discredited by the sloppiness of the burden-of-proof. Which means that FD gets away with it again. And it's all the fault of an obviously lazy disgruntled poster that couldn't be bothered to get his facts straight. This is why we keep failing to beat The Machine.
