So what do we do? Play a broken game, encouraging even shadier actions becuzse they feel they have no consequences? It's a lose-lose situation, so why bother? Only other option would be to play in a way that trolls Fdev, like messing up their precious narrative....

No, of course not, but if everyone leaves, the game dies that’s merely what I’m looking at.

The only thing would be a mass organised game down and organised constructive criticism en masse here.

Leaving both the game and forum is not the solution to the games issues.

For me, elements that have a negative value have no justification to exist. This is the case if the better action is to do nothing. I'd like to to have elements that cause negative values (to which I count Odyssey) removed from the universe.

You obvioulsy don't need to think in houses or whatnot but I hope that explains the whole idea of postive, neutral and negative.

What makes you think these experts/people are 'new'? Or is it just that no one but you (in your own 'expert' opinion) can be an expert in any of the things you mention? Lonely up there on the top of the mountain? ;)

I rather have fun with playing game(s) .. a little in the ship play, little on foot, little other game and so on instead as to come here on forums with just one purpose and it is repeatebly spread hate and negativity. I also do not know how you come to idea me playing an expert here ... I'm doing a RL job which is based on expert opinions and doing expertises and therefore I have absolutely zero interest to evaluate steam charts or artciles or financial summaries and make assumptions based on things which hardly can be correctly evaluated from outside.

Lol, coupla things. 1, you are assuming one cause for all players not playing. That's nonsense.

Two, charts show that while we're seeing some regular ebb and flow, and while there was a peak in use with Odyssey the average is pretty steady.

Yeah, Odyssey is a joke. I didn’t pay for it (lep owner) and own an average pc with 3090, 8700k and the rest of it. My position is that the product is broken in critical ways, unfinished and should have, to this day and beyond, it’s state designated as alpha in Steam and in the original shop. Current situation, where it is not sold as alpha, is a lie, but since no one, including myself, Really gives a damn, we shall let it slide, again.

The only reason gaming companies can get away with this kind of behaviour is because they are not health care companies, where one can get fined and jailed for lazy programming. But, giving credit to gamers at large, we are a demanding and vigilant bunch armed with mass communications tools. Hopefully, with more and more people voicing their experience in public we can help spread universal expectation of higher standards already observed in adjacent industries.
