Development Update 1 - June

Long term goals with odyssey?
If there were any today would have been the time to at least hint at it. A plan.
So either they don't have one, or are being tight lipped about it.
They don't want to discuss it. That's clear.
Damn shame really.
Watershed moment. A time to come clean and let us know their intentions as regards elite.
And once again nothing but a vacuum.
Guess we will wait till that changes.
In the meantime the bugs will or will not be fixed. We will be expected to play on regardless. Nose to the grindstone hehe.
I do honestly think they missed an opportunity to reassure us they had a plan.
Opportunity missed fdev. Now the fallout begins...

My honest opinion on the development post today?

From reading it, and obviously considering the previous intentions for this week from previous CM comments, I do think the "Future Progress: The Longer Roadmap" section content has had to be basically removed at fairly short notice, presumably as it became clear getting console done plus planned additional odyssey 'stuff' might be too much at this point.

Perhaps a technical challenge has snowballed in the last week, who knows.

Do you ever finish work each day?
They'll be back in the morning, when their work day starts, I'm sure!
In all fairness Ratty, Arf posted his dump & run OP at 16:30pm and was "last seen" roughly 20 minutes later. That's not even 5pm. I would expect a bit more dedication from a CM Lead at this critical time.

He could've either simply posted it earlier in the day to be able to respond for a couple of hours, or at least hang around until 6 or so today. I don't think that can be considered unreasonable working hours, especially when your main task is damage control and calming down an angry mob of customers.

They change actually a lot in the UI. For details have a look at the last Supercruise stream, there they show the changed Outfitting UI and talk a bit about the rest.
Well, they made changes. The part where they insist on the misshapen checkbox for "trash my modules" speaks of some internal issue. That interface is beginning to look like the 12'8" bridge.

No it didn't. The statement "There's no info on ANY future plans." in no way, shape, or form, answeres the question, "What happened to [the future plans in the update info]?".
Yes it does. You asked specifically what happened to the powerplay plans. The answer is there's no info on ANY future plans.

And? How does that affect long term plans? Six months, a year etc? Once EDO is out the console flap it seems it all goes dark.
I'm not defending that position (I know, my hat is slipping), I'm just saying I suspect things are so cuffed in terms of timescales that all plans are up in the air.

It's not a good thing, but this update points that way to me.
