State of the Game

Great, now I managed to trick the game and quickly escaped to menu after undocking.

I resumed in space (progress),
but my missions are gone,
so I have to dock
AGAIN
to accept them
AGAIN.

🤨

I'm also loving the conversations about "transparent glass" and this issue not being fixed... I think FDev just need to opt for non-transparent glass... 🤔
At least these kind of threads are mostly backed by something factual. Only this classifying as "easy fix" is a lost cause because nobody knows the FD codebase so nobody can say if it's easy or not.

Edit: I'm referring to the transparent glass types, not every issue

I would like to enjoy impruved performance and new graphic stuphz (fidelity etc).
But t's the my 3rd undocking / DC / back at station loop.

Groundhog Day vibe.

Not the first time game has been unstable after a big patch, server reboot happening just about now.

Or, trying harder ....

The western-heading Vikings didn't just settle for Britain. They went further out, some of them hilariously rowing into Francia, up the Seine into Paris itself. The French ended up settling it later after other battles by handing over Normandy to a dude called Rollo who swore fealty to the French King. This meant:
  • no more Rollo leading his lads into Paris
  • no more other Vikings doing it either, since the mouth of the Seine was on Rollo's lands now and he wouldn't stand for that sort of thing.
  • French-speaking Vikings.

That's why the region of France called Normandy is called Normandy, and it's denizens the Normans. Norse Men. And well, Normandy is is the north of France too.

Of course, boys will be boys, so while the Normans, that new-breed of French-speaking Vikings did develop a better food culture, they were still very much into the whole sailing/murdering/looting thing. Also teaching foreigners about cuisine and colours. And well, being half-Dane half-French, it's no wonder they settled on Britain as their next destination.
It's actually quite funny when you think about it.

I mean, the whole Vikings taking over England and then a band of other Vikings throwing the first set of Vikings out. So, Vikings still rule England? ;)

Also, it goes to prove how confused Vikings could get when they got bored.
