It's a 486 dx2/66.

i 'member downloading totally legal music on my dx2. midi files and then the first mp3s. took like 30min to download a 3 min song over my 33.6kbit modem.

then the cpu was still too slow to actually decode it... so winamp back then had something called quarter sampling or whatever that basically decoded to mp3 at 1/4 the sample rate... so your song sounded like it was recorded over the radio. you had to be a rich kid with a pentium to get cd quality mp3 playback.

membering is fun.
 
yeah. i always paid the regular retail price people paid for downloaded music ... whatever that was.

guess how long it takes a 33.6k modem to download a iso (cd) image. 3 full days.

that was a very inneficient way to get a linux distro back in the mid 90's
