FPS counter in the middle of the screen??

Really FDev? This is so damned annoying! Why did you plop the FPS counter in the middle of the screen (off center, of course) and add some useless, bright-white version number in its place?? It makes the game look like a cheese developer build. Please put it back to where it was and lose the version number. I can see that in the main menu all I want and don't give a crap about it while I play. Seriously, I cannot understand what makes developers do stupid :poop: like this.

It maybe optional for you but it is mandatory for me and it was perfectly fine where it belonged in the lower left corner.
They should know what version number the ppl are playing, at all times, because everyone is playing the exact same version.

Not holding my breath on this one so does anyone know of a good Fraps alternative that isn't Dxtory or Steam overlay?

I get that. But once you've tweaked, turn the fps counter off. While you tweak it's onscreen, which some find ugly even though nobody is able to objectively describe "ugly" or "beautiful". When you want to enjoy the game turn it off. It's a tool.

Yes, they changed the position of the counter after some update. It's a bit annoying, especially when you have an ultra wide monitor.

Thx Globus, but I would prefer something offline that doesn't want to collect my information.
Their TOS is not too comforting either. I just need a simple FPS counter now that FDev
"improved" upon theirs.

I know, that is why I'm looking for something to replace ugly Fraps.
I tried Dxtory and it looked nice but it's too convoluted and doesn't
work any more for me for some reason.

Responding with snide remarks to everyone, and showing that what you say in the opener is your own personal view which does not match common perception (hence my question).

That's not what I would call "in the middle of the screen off centre", hence my genuine question about a screenshot.

Well done, you surely act in a civilised way and instigate cooperation.

I did the job just fine and looked pretty good. I like how it changes color to match the rate.
Of course while it was just by itself nicely tucked away in the bottom corner. Now it's crap.
