I'm free for the rest of the day now so I should be able to help out on Discord, Susie...but I suspect most of the problems you're having is through importing other peple's bindings or HOTAS mappings in then trying to edit those using the control menu.

If you import a custom HOTAS/keymap, you must select that profile from the built in profiles that appear in the SC keybinding options and edit those settings, using the menu just edits the default settings which the custom bindings then override.

What I've found is that it's much better to set your own bindings from scratch using the mess of a controls section (through trial and error), delete all the custom bindings and use your own...there's no conflicts between custom bindings and the default then. Once you've setup your HOTAS via the default controls menu, it's simply a matter of copy/pasting the profile folder over to a new patch or if you delete the user folder.

In fact they all are already in game. They live their lives in the locked off sections of the city. It's locked off for privacy reasons. As you can see the notion of "spawn cabinets" is pretty ridiculous because it's totally unecessary. The NPC are already in and sometimes a bottle falls on their head from their persistent inventories they keep in boxes on their beds.

I used this video and it worked.
