SUIT SCHEMATICS need more love!

That's a lot of weapon upgrades as well, actually more upgraded weapons than suits.. yet i still have 60 more weapon schematics than i have suits schematics.
Been hitting the Irregular markers hard, I see :D

Don't worry, we're all guilty of a little push here and there.

Not lately :)

Still, talking about RNG - i found more weapon and building schematics in lockers, than i found suit schematics.
Also, i pursue missions that give suit schematics - i never do that for weapon schematics.

Yet, i cannot seem to find enough suit schematics to do the upgrades i want to do, so i have my inventory clogged with stuff needed for suit upgrades (graphene, titanium plating, carbon fiber plating and aerogel)

Weapon schematics are the big outlier I think. They really are plentiful thanks to Irregular Marker sites. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, since there are plenty of guns.

I've got more weapon schematics than I know what to do with but the bottleneck in my upgrading are the ever-elusive suit schematics! I've got three G3 suits I want to upgrade to G5 so need a total of 75 of the things. I currently have nine...

It's going to make getting settlement defence plans and opinion polls seem like child's play...

ok, so like, you need to quite the game in a ragequit thread, and let me know first so i can haz ur stuphs before botty hat gets in,
Suit Schematics, ugh, I need to start ignoring them as I'm running out of space :(

Edit: Why is it always suits ...

Large command centres have in the second floor at the side with the defence controls and holo table. It usually has a few schematics around, including suit schematics. Can be a right gold mine for those.

We talk about the situation after Update 4 and 5.
May be you found a lot of these before these updates happened.
Me too found much more before Update 4.
But after this update 4 all places I found Suit schematics before now are filled with Buildings-, Vehicles-, Ships- Schematics.

That was right. Especially the CMD with the connected PWR building was a good source for these.
But this was before update 4 happened.

uh huh. That pic of me looking at a Suit Schematic was a 'live' pic ... so, yeah, they've totally all gone 😝

Edit: Damn, another :(

I've seen that layout so much, but I keep forgetting which type of settlements have those. Was it Industrial, and if so, what size settlement for that "ideal" layout (small/medium landing pad, three buildings, CMD building mirroring the landing pad)?

Getting Suit Schematics is actually one of the easiest and fastest items per unit time to get in the game.

So, DO NOT go with the advice of doing restore missions for Suit Schematics. Yes you can find find them that way but not very frequently at all and those missions take a lot of time. You know, you have to defeat the scavengers, turn on the power (wait time there alone wastes time), hunting through every building esp. CMD and PWR centers.....and then one in every 5 - 7 missions you get a suit schematic. Totally wrong approach.

Correct way to get Suit Schematics fast:
1) Go into the Combat Missions (don't be afraid of theses - the one I will point you to is easy - easier than Restore missions.)
2) Look through the Raid missions for raiding a settlement to clear out the scavengers.
3) Accept the raid missions that reward with 2 Suit Schematics. There's plenty of these to be found esp. in Civil Unrest and Infrastructure Failure systems. Use INRA to search these near your current location.
4) The Raid missions are way easier because you only do step one of the Restore mission - you just clear out the 6-10 scavangers and then leave if you want to. That's it and you get 2 Suit Schematics. However, I find that these missions that give suit schematics give another suit schematic in the PWR building locker. That makes 3 SS's in maybe 10-15 minutes. In 4 hours you can easily pickup 40-50 Suit Schematics.

Note: Clearing out the 6-10 scavengers is really easy. Simply stay in your SRV and poke it into the base in a manner that you can back it straight out fast. When you poke it into the base, put it in combat mode, target one of the scavanger comandos and shoot at him. Its ok if he ducks behind something and you can't finish him off. That will be enough to draw all the scvangers your way. Now, back up your SRV until it is a little out from the base so that you have room to move around. This will draw out the scavangers like dogs after a steak bone. While you're out in the flat, clean them out. They are no match for the SRV guns. Just be careful not to let your SRV get below 50% hull. If it does, back it further up and do a hull repair. This whole thing only take maybe 3-4 minutes.

The most productive one is the CMD that has the PWR in the back (access to PWR can be done only through CMD). At top floor there it bigger room containing a table with 3x settlement defences consoles and in the middle there is a large locker that can have 1-6 schematics. With my bad luck i would get 0-2 suit schematics, rest being vehicle, building, weapon schematics (most often i get 0-1, very very rare to get 2 suit schematics.)

Most of the time the Suit Schematics reward is not there tho and it's replaces by some useless data rewards or no materials at all...
