State of the Game

I think one of Michelle Pfeiffer's finest moments was making Stardust... just the perfect casted film and although not quite like the book, I believe it was done with Gaiman's blessing and I just thought was the most joyous adult fairy tale. Can't argue Anne Hathaway is a great actress though.... Interstellar and Brokeback Mountain she was great.. and Devil Wears Prada, obvs...
I loved the film of Stardust (the book is still better) but Neil had so much fun seeing it being adapted... Looking forward to Sandman and Good Omens II (Neil is stuck in Scotland an awful lot soon)

Is that BLAM-IN-A-CAN?
As far as bugs are concerned, yes indeed!

Drops 'em in a matter of seconds, on contact. And if you've ever had a nest of hornets on your property that decided to sting you, just because, it's quite satisfying to see the buggers literally drop out of the air. Bees I love. Then again, bees never sting anybody just because and they're very useful critters. Hornets and wasps, on the other hand?

They're G-d's first two failed prototypes of bees, as far as I'm concerned.

Well I've posted most of them, but here is one clipped from The Pirate Star- my ode to 80s tabloids in the 3300s

Hey! I remember that one! A classic, too.

See? That's what I mean. The Feds just don't understand the importance of marketing. And the Alliance? They don't even know the word exists.

You want a bunch of gullible young men to jump into ships and go get themselves blown up for the cause? This is how you get them to do that! Demographics, people! Although a bit of fan service for our esteemed and highly qualified lady pilots would be a good idea, too, and I'm afraid that nobody on either side is quite up to the task. Or maybe I'm wrong.

Now, now, don't go spreading that Ender nonsense about the Void, my friend, that's heresy and well you know it. The Lord Brebus hath said so himself.

But I'm all about non-denominational. If you need warm bodies in uniforms, you need to widen your target demographic. And, besides, it doesn't really matter who's pulling the trigger, as long as it's being pulled and the shots are on target. At least that's what I learned back in my younger days. Doesn't matter who you are or where you come from, as long as you've got my back, I'll share a foxhole with you!

I just docked at some nondescript settlement I've never seen, named "agricultural market" (which, of course, has nothing to do with a market, but does supply fuel). It has no power, no staff, and is on fire. "Welcome back, Commander" it said in my comm panel because I requested docking. That about sum it up? The attention to detail and focus on immersion is stunning. </s>
