State of the Game

I prefer boiling a tongue from a cow for around 3h and serve it with a horseradish sauce.
I made boiled tongue two weeks ago, nowadays its getting more and more complicated to order a tongue, they chop them into dog food because it seems nobody is eating this anymore.
Even my own children were disgusted by it at first because it is a part of the body that they eat there, it took them a while to understand that a chicken leg is also a part of the body ... I blame those terrible smartphone culture ... I feel very old now
There is a national dish in Austria called Tafelspitz, which is served with horseradish sauce. The meat used for it is from a cow or calf, basically the part between top side and ox tail, I guess it's called tri-tip, but not sure about that. it is as well boiled for 3hrs.

Children are not that adventurous, when it comes to food - it will change over the years - I guess it is more the texture of the meat than anything else, what is putting them off. Then again children experience basic flavors (bitter, sour, salty, sweet) in a different way than adults - not all what is pleasant to us, is as well pleasant for a child's taste buds and especially bitterness is really off-putting for children, whereas extremely sweet stuff is off-putting to us, but not to children, they love it. Intestines have quite often a bitter aspect to them and that is why those are not favorites of children.

'be fruitful and multiply' was definitely written by a dead beat dad who hated women

avoiding that advice in every way is much better advice and much better for all parties involved.

we especially don't need anyone here making more of themselves
