or a smaller srv that leverages stealth .. has no weapons or thrusters. and leans on the player using that stealth to insert and get out of places with little to no detection on approach.
i'd imagine they'd want to make all the variants lean on foot gameplay in some way and create less dependency on returning to the ship for long excursions on a planetary surface.
