State of the Game

Until we ran out of.... well basically everything.... I was pretty happy with any form of brie. These days I'm not that choosey on the tuna cat food that I have for dinner.

Sunlit uplands my Harris!
So actually how is it in UK supermarkets?

Here in France I don't think they do a 'just in time' s.market delivery schedule so they order a set amount to a franchise and then sell that. My local HyperCasino is understaffed, has empty bits and a lot of the fruit and veg is either rotting (because its been sat around too long) and / or is really variable (i.e. one week I can buy mushrooms, the next I can't). Its like this all the time :D

In my old town (Taunton) it was rammed with out of town ASDA, Tesco (with 3 Express too), Sainsburys (one in town, one out), Morrisons, ALDI, LIDL, plus independents, and I can't really understand when someone says 'I have less choice / ohhELLIMRUNNIOUTMABELFETCHTHESHOTGUN' type stuff.

My local Tesco is a bit like your local sounds. It's very hit and miss on basically everything, esp veg and meat, with the 'rotting' aspect in no small part because <snip>.... ...probably best I say no more. I'll spoil the family-friendly mood otherwise and attract 'the mod with no blame'...
