This is the thing, it can’t be the fact, that they are sitting on the tables didn’t talk about consoles. But there is a huge thing what get my eye carched is, that they aren’t mentioned anything about the consoles on there financial report, no words, nothing. It’s feels like they have EDO pushed complete out. And my expectation is at the moment, that we are running into something like the MAC cmdrs. Experience before, they was outsourced, but before that, their was fimiliar behavior. First they told them, that they getting there update too, but after a wile of silence there was a statement about stopping the support for them.
sorry but I don’t get the point? The console market isn’t so small like everybody told us here? Ok for elite it is the case that more cmdrs are on pc, but elite WAS pc only, now it’s a third party game, and they should learn to treat this game as an all Plattform game. Because for now it’s a complete hit on the stomach of many consoles cmdrs.
yesterday I’ve spoken with my ps4/ps5 squadron who are having although cmdrs on pc, an they mentioned that it’s come to Situation in bgs, that they have fought a war in a system, but there was only on foot settlements? I mean really ? For a long term elite player the bgs and powerplay are some thing which brings a lot of gameplay loop for us ? But knowing that there are systems which can handled only on EDO, let leave some of us in bloody anger. Anybody knows how hard the bgs is, and how long it can take to flip a system or bring it into the state which is needed. And than SLAP in OUR face, only settlements for EDO are involved.
to bring it to a simple point.
at the moment, on the consoles, speaking for our squad and some other guys, there is simply so much gap between the two version, that is really really hard to stick with this. The thing from bgs is new to me and it raise my disappointment into the sky. Because, when you have reached all, sees all the mysteries in elite, owe the best ships, travelled over the whole galaxy? What give you content ? BGS! Exploration! Powerplay!
And all three are interfenced due too EDO is happened. And like 100 of us told before, WE are still waiting at the moment 3 years without any significant change.
and what get me really sad, is the fact, that the community here, splitting into two fractions, first EDO cmdrs(pc) who has heavy performance issues, which improvements are take a long time
And the HRZN cmdrs (most of them consoles) who are tried and shouting so hard for a glimpse of light, for something to stay calm, to know that it’s worth to wait.
what is my wish for this situation? We should work together like back in the days before we was splittet, for example a handsome advise that the plan was to fix EDO which includes the Framedrops, beside to create other stuff which can caused new bugs, and we all know it will happens. Past shows us already. Don’t get me wrong, it’s cool when they adding stuff to EDO, but it’s a clear slap in the face of any console cmdrs, where are waiting so long and getting nothing. Especially when the initial post from lord braben, was first fixing EDO and then bring it to the other consoles.
hopefully you all understand my point, especially some of our pc cmdrs. Yes of course everyone on the consoles hopes to get his hands on Odyssee, but at the moment the direction is more then wrong, bgs can’t play entirely free because we must take care which system we are getting, so that we can help our pc friends in a war for a system? Exploration for us ? Is by the way a little disappointment, because all good worlds in the bubble was founded before? All systems with nebulaes are visited and first footfall was made? I speak here from bubble range. Powerplay? Same issues like bgs, but not so heavy.
and this is honest critic, too long waiting time, without any significant signs for us? It’s underwhelming by far.
sorry, but I couldn’t resist. I love elite really, i do, and like in any deeply relationship it’s hurts much harder when the other side ignores you complete, with all your burning questions.
I’ve read all books, spend my first ingame money ever in elite, make really good friends in the community. Have so much fun, and it’s hard to accepted that there is a possibility of an end of this road
