Species that are New and Returning Species that are Confirmed

Homalocephalus was also nothing but a silhouette in the ui, and Nigersaurus/Albertosaurus placeholder screenshots got replaced, can see that in the gameplay stuff from last week. For absolute confirmed at least one person has to definitely be picky over it. Though a think a side-mention of a species personally isn't good enough for me either (Spinosaurus) even if I'm sure it'll be there. People are excited, so what is and isn't 'confirmed' will have a different bar for everyone, especially when people like myself want certain ones confirmed. My bar is I need to see it at a stand still or just clearly, screenshot or video, not just mentioned or talking about, or sort-of seen so it could really be anything.

Okay I have officially updated the post yet again hopefully this will show which species are confirmed even more clearly and which species are speculation or hinted at to appear in Jurassic world evolution 2. I hope this keeps everybody updated to know which species are confirmed and which are not yet confirmed.

If the dinos from the first game, that are having a first appearance in Dominion, are to appear at launch, they all may have their JWE series debut designs. But with different skin textures, like all the revealed/announced others, and like how I believe all the returning JWE only dinos will have. I have no doubt the Dominion designs will appear, but if the said dinos are to return at launch, they might get them latter to coincide with Dominion, in a way like the legacy skins from Return to Jurassic Park did where they are separated from the game's original JW trilogy skins.

Note: the main post or thread here is where I will only confirm species not in the comment section below be aware of that. This thread or post will be updated constantly so keep an eye out for any new species that might be added sooner from field guides or any solid evidence that these species might be in the game mostly listed from frontier or accidental clear giveaways on videos involving Jurassic world evolution 2 content.
So, are we really only getting 5 marine reptiles and 5 Pterosaurs?

So still no Therizinosaurus, Quetzalcoatlus and Elasmosaurus... Hmmm

Really needs more small herbivores as well.
Quetzalcoatlus I think may not be at launch, but rather sometime after for Jurassic World: Dominion because it’s something that will appear in it. Plus, even if they were to do it before then, I think it would be more work to rig up than most of their other currently known pterosaurs and everything else they’ve made for launch combined.

Why would it be extra work?

I'm not sure how they are going to do Quetzalcoatlus, although I'm guessing they will. I'd imagine it will be a lot of work because it won't share any of the animations with the smaller pterosaurs. Its takeoff, wing flapping, landing, walking, etc: going to be completely different than the other pterosaurs. It's also going to need a huge aviary otherwise it's just going to be flying around in tight circles the whole time.

But I'm assuming it's going to be added when Dominion comes out and I'm excited to see it happen. I'm sure Frontier can pull it off.

Hey, if they can rig something totally new for the aquatics then I don't think a new Pterosaur would be that hard. I was just referring to how the poster made it sound like it'd be harder than anything they've done yet.

Yeah I agree. I don't think it will be harder than what they've done so far. I'm just saying I highly doubt it will be present in the base game at launch.

With the confirmed return of Troodon, Chungkingosaurus, Gigantspinosaurus, Chasmosaurus, Dryosaurus, and Maiasaura, I think it's safe to say that all of the JWE 1 dinosaurs are returning. None of these dinosaurs are movie dinosaurs, and two were DLC dinosaurs in JWE 1, yet they're all returning. I've been saying every JWE 1 dinosaur returning was always likely, yet many didn't believe me.

The downside of this is that we are probably only getting 3 new dinos in total (excluding Deluxe), which is disappointing

Yes, why would you add psittacosaurus, Shantungosaurus, Therizinosaurus or Crylophosaurus when you can have miracles and most-wanted all-stars like aerorthiomimus or Chungkingosaurus?

Who makes these decisions?

Also, Ankylodocus returning is a crime.
