"In engine" has nothing to do with "in game".

Well, the constant flood of ship buying whenever something goes on sale points to repeat buyers for reasons other than "Oooh shiny ship". How many new purchasers of ships does CIG really have, 10 years on with scam written all over it and nary a search result that does not question its development.
Yes, it has a rabid fanbase that will extol its virtues. Are these people really putting their wallets where their mouths are or just doing the Internet thing. I don't think Agent is too far off with repeat buyers for the purpose of reselling, whether in 6 months or years down the line.
I hope they keep doing it. More fun that way.
As for "in their own engine".. yeah, keep falling for that one, see where it gets you.

Hey, atleast in SC I get to walk around and fly the ships with the added benefit of it not being 100% some crypto scam.
Sounds legit to me...the wipe was timed to perfection since after a year and a half of folks buying ships in game so they got used to flying them around for all that time...then looking at going back to box missions flying an Aurora when 3.15 drops. They're going to splash out and buy to own that bigger ship they bought in game or saw in concept and have been flying or dreaming about it since 3.8 or 3.9. A global persistence database wipe followed by a ship sale...a few more pennies in the coffers for Ci¬G

Yes, there's no crypto in Star Citizen.
Regular scam or not, "crypto" in the description or name always makes things twice as shady.
