Thargoids killed.

Oh look, a person who lacks the practice and skill to take out thargoids is trying to tell people who have killed hundreds if not thousands of them that killing thargoids is, in fact, not possible.
Judging by the data from INARA, the maximum number of destroyed Targoids by one player is 687 as of August 30, 2021

That’s ...

1. Inara only displays kills in the last week.
2. That guy has zero interceptor kills.

In other words, this guy was killing scouts exclusively during the last week. Most likely for conbat rank.

Edit: The guy destroying 119 interceptors in a week was killing Cyclopes judging from the point total. The AXI veterans posting in this thread kill Hydras and Medusas.

Then the correct way to display the number of destroyed Targoids will be a screenshot from the menu

That still counts scouts that are nothing more than sidewinders with resistances so it is still pretty useless. It also counts wing kills the same as solo kills and is not always completely accurate. But sure, we can play that game...

Edit: Oh yes. Forgot to mention. Those counters stop counting up when you hit the required amount.

Inara is just wonky. Search for a program called Thargoid Kill Counter/Thargoid Combad Statistics, it's available on GitHub, shows you your proper kill count using your logs:

So as long as you have your logs, you can see your full kill count.

My AXI discord ranks. In short: Yes. Yes. Yes. With sugar on top.

In long: Rank descriptions in order
7/7 challenge ranks
  • Kill a Medusa with 175 shots or less using 3 medium gauss.
  • Kill a Basilisk without Guardian technology.
  • Kill a Medusa with HUD turned off.
  • Defeat an entire AX CZ solo.
  • Defeat a Basilisk with hull still at 100%, no repairs allowed.
  • Defeat a Medusa in less than 6/12/24 minutes in a large/medium/small ship. (DBS, 21min 30s)
  • Perform a Vanguard level kill (ship dependent - Viper mk3 vs Medusa in my case)

Progression ranks:
  • Hydra solo
  • Hydra duo
  • Medusa solo
  • Basilisk solo
  • Cyclops solo
  • Wing kill of any interceptor

Other ranks:
  • Registered AXI carrier
  • Hydra duo with existing collector
  • AX CZ solo except final Hydra
  • Winning a competitive AXI event
  • Participating in AXI event
  • Winning team of one of AXI’s Great Hunts
  • Former AXI mentor
  • Paid respects to James Jameson
  • Member if AXI in-game squadron
  • Plays on PC ...
Interesting.
Where are the achievements: killing without a faoff? Killing with a shield?

It is a personal preference. We have high level AXI pilots running FA on and high level AXI pilots using shielded ships. Your attempt at creating division where none exists is fundamentally misguided.
I've played a long time both ways and I understand where you need a higher level of control and aiming. And it is different to aim in faoff mode with the mouse with the function disabled : relative mouse.

Completely irrelevant to the discussion. You have either killed a Medusa or you have not. That is the criteria for the Medusa solo rank and it is the only relevant distinction. FA on/off are tools that are available to everyone and it is up to the pilot to pick whatever they find more appropriate. If you start differentiating FA on and off you might as well differentiate people using different input methods as well. Completely irrelevant to the greater picture.

You do realise not everyone plays with mouse, right? Some play with hotas, hosas, controller, or whatever setup floats their boat.

Not applicable. That is a special challenge rank. FA on/off is not a special challenge rank because some people got their Medusa kills FA off and others FA on. Neither is inherently easier than the other even if most AXI pilots prefer FA off. Again, you are just trying to create a division where none exists through extended trolling.

I'm sorry, but I probably don't understand YOU because of the translation. After all, these are your rules and I was just trying to understand based on my own experience.

Thank you.

was this video take in Horizon or Odyssey ? you do know it doesn't work like this anymore. this is 100% not like fighting thargoids looks like. if that was in real game, you were dead in less then 30 secs. this videos must have been taken when Horizon was released and thargoids were full of bugs. you could kill interceptors like you kill scouts now, back then.
I decided to dare the Odyssey VR performance and actually try out AX combat in Odyssey. Nothing is harder apart from the frame rate issues. Here is me casually dismantling a Cyclops in under 10 minutes using a Hauler:

No interest in killing them . I actually hate the Thargoid bad , humans / guardians good storyline .
Poke a stick at a hive and then complain when they attack you ?!! then say we didn't do nuffin guv we woz innocent.
