What Will Future Updates Include?

Now hear me out...

It works ok for some, but coupling the temperature to them just doesn’t work - (eg just look at “tropical” New Zealand). Outside, outside of a few regions, climate (rain and temperature) just doesn’t come close to the real world (and sometimes doesn’t even work for the biome it’s representing - eg tropical temperature range).

TBH I don’t see why it would be difficult to assign a temperature range and rainfall chance from real-world data dependant on where in the globe the player clicks - arrays of climate data like this are easy to find and free to access online and I can’t see that it’d affect performance at all (since it’s just defining the parameters at the start of the game).
Oh the temprature range, weather and rainfall should absolutely be configureable, that's a great idea!

Exactly. One of my Zoos for Example is located in Hokkaido which can get down to - 8°C in Real Life (googled it once because I want to use Foliage in a realistic Way) but in the Game it's always the same short Winter (please, finally give us a Option to activate Seasons. It can't be that hard) with only - 2°C (a single Time - 3°C). It's even more ridiculous in my Antarctic Research Center (don't know currently how cold it gets in the Tundra Biome but it's just ridiculous for this Area). I want this Research Center to be a real Challenge regarding the Temperatures (so glad, they fixed the Bactrian Camel, so it's usable in really cold Temperatures now).

We also need a Option to customize Plants on the Map and the Background of the Map. It annoys me when there are Trees in Antarctica even though they don't exist there and African Trees on a South American and Australian Map

I'm most bothered by not having the ability to stop snow in temperate biome. There are many temperate regions which never see <10°C, which makes building in temperate a hurdle when you want to emulate such place.

Even though Florida should be tropical, this would make it at least a little bit more realistic to build a Zoo there. My original Aqua Zoo was in Florida but I was annoyed by the unrealistic Weather, so when I've decided to abandon it and build a Marine Park, I've chosen Hawaii instead

Yeah, same goes for SE Australia (where the majority of the population lives) which should be temperate but without temperatures that get as low as in the temperate in-game biome.

Interesting. How cold does it get there? Some YouTuber from Australia only experienced Snow one or two Years ago for the first Time, so I assume normally it doesn't even get down to 0°C?

Depends… in the alps/highlands we get snow in the far south east but, I lived for 8 years in Hobart (the most southerly city) and only saw snow in the city once. It was in ‘drifts’ of about 1/2 inch and caused traffic chaos. Some inland places get lower temperatures a little more often but snow settling for any length of time outside of highland areas essentially never happens.

I'm also still hoping they'll revisit the front-end globe and fix a lot of the climatic mistakes therein. I currently can't build a zoo in New Zealand, because my choices are tropical or grassland. Neither is accurate, and what I need is temperate. I know they generalise the biomes significantly but I believe @DrBurrito sussed out where they are on the map and what they should be.
Indeed, the inaccurate map on Wikipedia that was used for the game's front-end globe has been fixed. For anyone wondering, here's the thread.

So, we know we have at least 5 more DLC, which means 5 more major updates.

Flying is leaked, right?

What do y'all think the other 4 will be, because I honestly have no clue?
I wouldnt descibe it as leaked, there were a few mentions of of things like boids and other things related to flying that could be leftover code from Planco's pigons.

I think Leaf or someone else took a closer Look at it and confirmed that it's probably leftover Code from the Pigeons.
I wish we could get those Pigeons in the Game. Would be nice to see one sitting in a Tree or flying above the Zoo from time to time and Guest Areas would also be more awesome that Way. Sad that they confirmed that it (at least at the Moment) isn't planned to include Effect Animals, so probably also no Butterflys and Bees

I think one of the updates has to be remodelling various animals. Some of them need it so badly like the Bactrian Camel, Malayan Tapir, Lion and Timber Wolf. The community has been pushing for these, so I think they should do it.
A better Version of the Wolf would be really nice 👍
And hopefully they'll finally fix the Size of the Bactrian Camel and the Bison one Day

I may edit this post if anything else comes to my mind;
My features wishlist is:

- Aviaries, I would prefer to build my own aviaries, but I wouldn't mind pre-built ones if it's the only way we can get flying animals, with multiple selections of the kind of aviary you want; eg "net aviary", "cubic caged aviary", "tall caged aviary" and so on.

- Aquariums, same thing as aviaries, would be cool to also have small aquariums where you can mix small aquatic fauna.

- Customizable exhibit sizes, this is one of the most requested features, some animals are too small for the exhibits we have and some are too big to be realistically comfortable, it would also be cool to have some considerably bigger ones to be able to put in some animals that are currently placeable in habitats like the Nile Monitor and Cuvier's Dwarf Caiman; reptiles are know to be lazy and slow if they're relaxed, and they wouldn't need that much of a space, would be nice to also be able to put iguanas out of the exhibits.

- Variations in cheratine structures: basically every horn, tusk, tooth, shell, beak, antler and claw should be subject to changes, like being broken, shattered, longer, shorter, bigger, smaller, different basically, maybe not in every animal, but it would look cool if your favorite elephant is a "Tusker", an elephant with extraordinary long tusks, and would also give them more personality.

- Animal personalities: every animal as for now basically feels the same, a moving prop, but adding personalities would drastically improve the gameplay: some examples of personalities could be shy, intrepid, social, brave, curios, territorial, submissive and each one would have its own perks, for example a curious animal will spend more time looking for food enrichments, a playful animal will spend more time with toys enrichments, a territorial animal will dispute multiple times with other of its species to mantain its status.

- Realistic mode/settings: you like your zoo, but it doesn't feel like a real one? Realistic mode is here for you: it could contain some rather mature content, like a mother dying during birth, or a cub dying during birth, or even both; this mode is aimed for a Realistic experience for a more mature fanbase, it should be limited to 16+ yo players as some people may find it "disturbing"; but catastrophes aren't the only things happening in this game mode, things like private donators, police/rangers contacting you regarding the custody of a confiscated animal, periods of economic crisis and many more challenges and options.
