Cool low effort animals

Another species I have actually just thought of that could be a good inclusion would be the Sumatran orangutan. It would need very few changes but still manages to look fairly distinct from the Bornean - the cheek flaps of the male are more disc-like and they have a longer beard and this species is more of a pale orange compared to the darker colours of the Bornean orangutan.

While many zoos have either one or the other species, Chester Zoo here in the UK actually has both, each living in their own separate enclosures on either end of the zoo.

To show the differences between them, there is a picture of a male Bornean orangutan on the left and a Sumatran orangutan on the right:

European brownbear OR american blackbear
I'd love the European Brown Bear for my Wildpark and also for other Zoos. But not if it would take the Spot of a more unique Animal. I think if we could only have one of those, I would choose the American Black Bear because it has lots of awesome Color Variations and isn't that similar to other Bears in the Game

For an example, the european bison would be fine, as it is a american bison with a different haircut and a bit different back, while a tamndua wouldnt be fair game, as they would not climbing and a different tail with unique animations for both.
🤔 This made me think that something like a Nine banded Armadillo might work relatively good with the Aardvark as a Base (but of course this one would definitely need additional Animations). Also please Raccoon out of Red Panda😍

Southamerican sealion
I'd love the Australian Sealion because they look so cute. But those really big male Southamerican Sealions also look really nice. Would also like some kind of arctic or antarctic Seal. Also as someone once suggested Hawaiian Monk Seals would be nice to have

I was at Zoo Atlanta last weekend and was surprised to realize that they have both Sumatran and Bornean orangutans as well. I can't believe I'd never noticed that before. I'm not positive but based on the way the enclosure was set up, it looked like they might rotate different groups between 3+ different habitats.

I've considered the viability of the Sumatran orangutan in this sort of pack before, since I do prefer their appearance, but I've always figured it wouldn't be worth the effort considering that the Bornean orangutans seem to be one of the least popular species in the game with their current looks and mechanics.

but those arnt really low effor, are they? This is really about colorswaps and only small changes. The donkey is the one thats still kinda fitting, but of the antelopes only the arabian onyx fits. The rest is way to distinct in fur texture, bodyshapes and in the case of the gerenuk it would even take some playing around with the rig. Sure it can be done, but not as a "clone"

The Gerenuk would also feel incomplete without the animations for the behavior it shows of in that picture.

The arabian oryx is the only one that fits perfectly, but you could alsp make a case for a scimitar oryx from the sable antelope.

I think that antelopes could be the easiest to make out of the already existing rigs:

Giant eland - Nyala or bongo
Bontebok - Wildebeest
Blackbuck - Sprinbok or Thompson’s gazelle
Kudu - Nyala or Bongo
Waterbuck - Sable antelope
Addax - Gemsbok
Scimitar oryx - Gemsbok
Arabian oryx - Gemsbok
Gerenuk - you have a point here, it would definitely need a new rig
Somali donkey - Zebra

I think they could also just give us a normal American Black Bear, make black and brown ones as normal Color Variations and also add a white Mutation👍
This, I would very strongly prefer to see the common appearance of the species over a very niche subspecies. I'd be fine with it as a color variation, but having a spirit bear as the default option turns into another Himalayan brown bear or proboscis monkey situation where it's far too limited to find place in most realistic zoos.

Oh man. Now I really want an American black bear.

The ones at the Houston Zoo are brown, not black, which is cool (or more cinnamon, actually. Well, it's been awhile since I've been).

Ooh, please, Frontier, if Y'all give a free animal every so often (if), please consider the American black bear, my favorite bear and a fairly simple "low effort animal"

The Spirit/Kermode Bear is it's own subspecies rather than just a mutation, they have a black coloration and a white coloration which can come from either, though they tend to mate with their own coloration.

They're also the rarest bears there are, and only one is in a zoo...

I think that there are several animals could be the easiest to make out of the already existing rigs

  • Black-backed jackal - Dhole
  • Ethiopian Wolf – Timber Wolf or Dingo
  • Dama gazelle - Sprinbok or Thompson’s gazelle
  • Gaur – African buffalo or American Bison
  • Banteng – African buffalo or American Bison
  • Wild water buffalo - African buffalo
  • American flamingo - Greater flamingo
  • Indian wild donkey - Zebra
  • Przewalski's horse – Zebra
  • Capybara – North American Beaver
  • Black-footed ferret - Black-tailed prairie dog
