Remove Scientists From The Game

All scientists do is get in the way, hold you back and you need them for everything. All I want to be able to click on stuff and they go to work right away and you don't need to assign scientists every time you want to extract fosils, get stuff researched and release as many dinosaurs as you want.

Scientists allow for things to get done much faster, if the synergies work.
 
I just want expeditions, research and dinosaur making to be simple like it was in the first game in both sandbox mode and the other modes. Sure the processes will take time but at least you won't have to assign scientists, you just click and it goes to work.

you can't lose more than a couple seconds with the scientists.
 
Not only do you have to assign scientists when you want to do one of the 3 things but you gotta give them rest too and it causes the 3 things to take even longer. They have got to go.

I'm fairly certain they aren't going to go. Adding is easy. Removing a tenet of the game isn't gonna go well.
 
I think it might. Frontier just needs to fix the 3 things so they don't require scientists and all you gotta do is click and they go to work, just like, well, you know.
So they'd have to rework how the entire game works retroactively and breaking all savegame compatibility. Yeah, no, i can't see that happening unless a major shift is needed.
 
Are you really that opposed to the scientist system? You honestly haven't given any good reasons or benefit from their removal. Its a core part of the game and just because you want to click and forget entire systems doesn't mean its healthy for the game. It takes a little thought now to get tasks done and to do them efficiently, that is far better game design than just having some mobile game-esque mindless clicks to do things.
 
I want dinosaur hatching, Expeditions, Research and Fossils to be simple like it was in the first game. I can't think of anywhere else scientists are needed but they shouldn't be needed for those departments.
if you want that then go play the first game. this is what makes it challenging and more serious and not a kids game .
 
I whole-heartly agree about removing the scientists. At least from the creative mode. The single thing I was looking forward to was starting a map, build a hatchery, and pump out dinos to watch them spread out and be themselves. In the campaigns and challenge modes, the scientists are an okay mechanic. Annoying sometimes but not the worst. Reality is this game is supposed to be a dino management game not a scientist management game. Spending my time making sure scientist are happy takes away from my time making sure my dinos are happy. Some of you pointed out that being able to speed things up makes the scientists more annoying to those of us that like to speed through the boring stuff such as waiting for a dino to be healed or wait for eggs to be hatched, to which, then we should have the option to not deal with scientists when speeding through boring tasks. It's also not something that's too much to ask to remove a mechanic, at least for creative/sandbox modes.

Scientists also limit how much you can do at any time during the creating of dino. You have to wait till one with a good enough skill level to be able to even start the process, THEN you need a scientist with a high enough level in a different skill to finish the process. It's ridiculous. Hell, I'd even settle to just remove them from the hatching proccess entirely, the research, fossil stuff, and medical stuff can still have scientists. JUST TAKE THEM OUT OF THE HATCHERY.

I will say that I do like the improvements on the hatchery so that we can produce more than 1 dino per bay with the option to move them immediately to a pen without having to release, tranq, and then move them ourselves.

JWE2 has more dinosaur social interactions, You can release multiple dinosaurs at once, Marine Reptiles, more flying reptiles plus aviary shaping, customizable amenities, Automatic Feeder refills and hopefully someday Automatic dinosaur healing, Herbivores don't need feeders and most carnivores just want live prey. JWE1 doesn't have any of that.
