1:1 scale local galaxy with real existing known stars, just the right amount of SciFi and backstory and a suite of tools to explore/trade/fight in it however YOU want to play.

as long as the way YOU want to play is via the same repeated activities with no progression or change to the game and you're tied to an online experience that for all intents and purposes could be replaced with scripts due to the networking setup used and mode system and you would never know the difference - leaving you with a game with all of the experience of being alone most of the time, but absolutely none of the benefits of being a single player game and all of the downsides of an MMO in a persistent game state and none of the benefits of an mmo such as frequent exciting large scale battles or player agency.

The pattern repeats...

as always thank you ender o7

how's that epoxy job going or still on delay?

delayed. painted the wife's office instead this past weekend. We have a long holiday weekend coming up next week. so it would be a good time to pick to do it then. The biggest issue is that the project is going to take out the kitchen sink and stove and such things for almost a week between prep and waiting for the epoxy to cure. It's a long time to be out of such things and there were other less involving projects that could be done.

Yeah kitchen replacement sucks and takes forever. Paper plates and grilling every meal gets old quick.

We just had the boiler cleaned and looks like we'll be upgrading before next winter. The old one has been there since the seventies (we've been here since 99) so it should be a good efficiency upgrade. Anyone know if you can run a forced hot water heating system off anything but oil. Looks like research time for the horseman.

So then you have plans for Thanksgiving Day dinner at someone else's house, or a restaurant?

It's just me and the wife out here in this part of the country so our thanksgiving dinners dont really take any more time or effort than any other day. So we can start thursday if things go according to plan and leave the stove and sink in place until the evening without interrupting anything.

Lucky you. We've been hosting since the beginning of time for many years now. Our house is "neutral ground" for the rest of the family...

Its the one week of the year when I can plan on NOT being able to get anything else done, even if I take vacation for the entire week (IE: the Mon/Tue/Wed when we would normally be working).
