State of the Game

I'll be honest lads, I was fairly up in arms yesterday morning myself. But the amount of guffery from grown (allegedly) individuals about their video game, and the rapid descent into nastiness now has me hoping they not only don't reverse the decision, but retroactively yank the experimentals on EVERY CG/tech broker item.

The holy mortifying state of some of them.

Be great if Phase 3 is a 7A FSD after all... a plain unmodified one.
I totally agree Mick. I'd been a little jaded by some of their stupid decisions over the years, but some people's reactions (and more the behaviour and language) are a flanging disgrace.

As you say, some of these morons are supposed to be adults, but the way they seriously make accusations and slander people (especially Sally who clearly only ever wants to help and get feedback); are just astounding. I try to avoid threads like the one she has running, as I find it so difficult to not point out the puerility of some - mainly because I can't do it without calling a spade a spade.

I also find it embarrassing frankly, which brings me to the same conclusions as you - wanting FD to turn round and really kick these people in the nuts with regards to their behaviour. Sadly though it is like normal - a minority acting like gobshites, who will spoil things for the rest of us.
And unfortunately, as expected they walked it back. So now the aforementioned gobshites are now going to be puffing out their chests and stomping around with the "See? Our behaviour got us what we wanted! What will we slag them all off about next to?!?!" attitude.
FDev sure are making it harder and harder on themselves to make any kind of a meaningful/reasonable stand on anything in the future...

But its good that they have new icons/terminology to make things more clear regarding future CG gifts rewards. Anyone want to bet me they won't screw that up?

VR, Walking about ships, consoles and Rubbernuke would like a word.

obviously those things are less effective at creating player addiction and thus continued activity once the base "acquire all spaceships" phase is over.

fdev depends on engineers to avoid having to create actual new content on a regular basis.

I nearly dropped my moist gussets when I read that serious post of yours.

I do apologize. Sadly it's in my contract to make a monthly sensible post.

On the other hand, rearing a horse has helped mitigate the trauma, with a different trauma.

I'm on the road to recovery. And don't call me a german.

This is why they should never have said they would be more careful in future - it's just not in their nature. Even that very CG - they left out the text saying the modules would be available on Friday so ppl spent all week re-explaining it to the dummies - who this week had the perfect excuse of 'it wasn't in the text'. (And fdev were, ofc, completely silent.)

Fdev need to 'own' that they are not a 'detail' oriented team and go with it - they pretend to be professional and organised - they'd get a better response by owning their goofs. Or as we like to say ...

That is shocking. I have added some comments that are positive.

I can relate to that, being more of a broad-brush team leader myself. Half my time that I spend doing QA is correcting errors made by team members because I forgot to update work flows, or maybe actually left errors to be automatically "flagged" by a team member running headfirst into a figurative wall I forgot to tell them about.

Probably good I'm not in the gaming industry. Or is it?
