Thanks for sorting out the summary, Athlon.
well unedited shows real game play - so I like it more - i would even watch you hopping from system to system with just fuel scooping - but you never do that but scan all the bodies in the system - you are doing that pretty efficient and quickly - I paid close attention to how you do it. I was never good with that or maybe not really excited to do it.Poor you!
Watching play is nice if it is edited to just contain the interesting bits... All of mine are unedited - once I could stream it was even lazier.
Yes, I do a bit of everything and make 'fun' from it all. EDO planets are pretty good, even the bland looking ones (atmospherics, naturally) although I don't think I've found a bland Horizons body to not look better in the new tech, the extreme cases in Horizons don't exist in EDO, but I don't actually mind over much, they were not bodies I'd habitually visit anyway.
I've spent a few hours playing in the combat CZ this week, supporting the Neo-marlinists of course, in the top 10% currently, will do more over the weekend... Now doing 14 assorted surface missions, most covert, just for the challenge. For me EDO has injected a huge amount of improved gameplay, which is fine!
we have the original gunship from Microprose - it is quite outdated but it had interesting gameplay for it's time - it is still working and we even have an operable floppy drive to load it from it's orignal disks - well these black flexible things, not really disks.I don't remember Gunship (possibly as at time I'd have been playing an assortment of RPG games) but did have Comanche and played it for a while.
Is that the Brabmobile?
Nice i remember a cool naval sim "aegies" maybe or something like that from around that time; which i remember having falkland scenarios. Someday I'll have to fish out and assess the old c128 stuff at my folks. Getting my first laptop running from 1994 would also be interesting.we have the original gunship from Microprose - it is quite outdated but it had interesting gameplay for it's time - it is still working and we even have an operable floppy drive to load it from it's orignal disks - well these black flexible things, not really disks.
the really amazing part with these older games is that they came with quite a big booklet explaining all and presenting history facts with it and so - amazing stuff.
another interesting one from Microprose around the same time is Harrier Jump Jet - it came at the time or after the Falkland Island war - as well with quite a huge booklet with information about that war as well - they don't make booklets like this anymore. I like vectoring with the Harrier - getting an enemy off your tail and right in front of your cannon with the vectoring maneuver - the harrier has been a quite interesting jet.
I got a chance to take my SRV out for a flight earlier today...did a few barrel rolls. Yesterday I got my first "First Footfall Confirmed" in a system I also got first discovery on, and , to top it off, my first 3 genetically diverse samples of a single item...on a thin atmosphere planet in that system...hopefully I'll get to Vista Genomics sometime soon.well unedited shows real game play - so I like it more - i would even watch you hopping from system to system with just fuel scooping - but you never do that but scan all the bodies in the system - you are doing that pretty efficient and quickly - I paid close attention to how you do it. But alone watching you flying your srv instead of driving it, is fun to watch.
I wouldn't lose my head over it
